In attempting to beat all Overwhelmingly Positive games on steam I gave this:

Game-play: ★☆☆☆☆ (Boring)
Aesthetics: ★★★☆☆ (Decent)
Story: ★☆☆☆☆ (Minimal)
Difficulty: ★☆☆☆☆ (Very Easy)
Length: ★☆☆☆☆ (Very Short)
Overall: ★★☆☆☆ (Wouldn't Recommend)

★★★ Overview ★★★
Cats Hidden in Paris is a short, simplistic cat-themed hidden object game. There are two picture puzzles to play through (one of which is DLC) both with 100 cats to find and some other minor hidden quirks scattered about. Both pictures are cartoonish story-book representations of Paris architecture and landmarks. This game is one of a series by the same developers all utilizing an almost identical formula.

★★★ Rating explanations and personal thoughts ★★★
★ Game-play: It's a hidden object game, so the game-play involves slowly, and meticulously scanning every detail you can for anything cat shaped. Once you find all 100, there's nothing else to really do. There are countless other things that I would normally do for mental stimulation other than a hidden object game, but occasionally I find them to be a decent way to pass a few minutes. It just isn't the kind of game-play I prioritize wanting to interact with.
★ Aesthetics: With a game like this, the art effectively is the game. You are forced to look closely at everything, so the highest quality version of games like this should have stellar art, which is just doesn't. Being almost completely in black and white (the cats are colorized once you find them) also feels like it makes the overall experience less interesting.
★ Story: If there was a story, I didn't notice it. You get fireworks at the end for finding all of the cats.
★ Difficulty: Basically about as casual as it comes. You would effectively need to be blind to find this challenging. And even in the event that you missed 1 or 2 hard ones, there's a hint system that focuses in on the general area.
★ Length: It took longer to write this review than it did to complete both picture puzzles. (About 15 minutes).

★ Overall:
If you are looking for a super casual game to distract you for less time than it takes to drink a cup of coffee, you just absolutely must play anything and everything cat themed in it, or really like hidden object games, then this might be for you. I personally found the game-play to be boring, there are much better hidden object games out there with a lot more content, better art, and overall more fun. This probably shouldn't be overwhelmingly positive. I wouldn't recommend it.
