So I just wanted to put my specs out there before I write this review just to say "I meet more than the reccomended"

So currently I am on 13.2 hours of this game (10.2 in the past week) and it is obvious the game does not want me to comeplete it as it wont stop dropping frames and crashing.

Here is my review:

The game starts off somewhat promising with the story of two brothers in the army in the middle of a mission when something bad happens to your brother and you end up on a mission in Georgia (The Russian Version) and you think your brother (pressumed Dead) is somehow involved. So thats Cliche 1 and 2 covered (Set in Russia, My pressumed dead brother is involved).

With all other issues (Abridged) over compressed cutscenes, predictable story with twist, janky mechanics, no replayability, feels like an Ubisoft game (FarCry - Play Farcry with a sniper, Assult Rifle and Pistol (You probibly already do)).

As an Avid fan of FarCry this game feel very similar but feels like FarCry 2 - Not interesting, boring, very repetitive, many issues (See below)

(1) Veriety of Guns
(2) Repetitiveness and Difficulty
(3) Animations and Textures
(4) World and Map
(5) Conclusion
--------
(1)
That is all I will say about the story apart from Cliche 3 - The plot twist - which you see coming about the end of Act 1.

Now in terms of Gun Customisation there is a fair amount to go on, You can run a 7.62mm Rifle, 3.38mm Rifle or a .50 Cal rifle each with theirs own pros and cons (Sliencer & bipod availability) as well as a decent amount of secondary rifles/ shotguns/ bows as well as a small selection of Pistols (9mm or .45apc).
--------
(2)
Now lets talk about the 2 difficulties you can start with - No matter how hard you play the game, Just do the following
1) Don't get seen
2) Always use a Suppressor (as there is no reason not to)
3) Hold Right Mouse Button
4) Zoom in (depends on distance of target)
5) Hold Shift
6) Line the guys head up with the little diamond
7) Fire
Thats it really - the only difference is how hard the bullets hit. (Game has no cloud save and I had to reformat - played 2 hours on hard and learnt this)

-------
(3)
The Animations - these are the jankiest things I have ever seen.
Everything is so heavy - there is no need for that.
The Models - Ugliest things you will ever see in cutscenes
I swear to you now the game looks better when playing than it does in the cutscnes. Textures look dirty and muddy, blury and low res like they were compressed something awful. They are so few that an extra 10GB for some good cutscenes on 1080p should not be an issues (I think there is like 5 in total)
The speed you move at just does not fit - a car doing 80KM/ph is going at about 60mph. Honestly does not feel like it though. Imagine being on a rollercoaster and your vision does not blur around the corners as you gain speed going downwards. Running as well, I have never seen someone sprint so slow and cover as little ground as the main protagonist does.

This is the most empty game world ever. There is a "fun" side mission for money called "Most Wanted" - you essentially kill 16 High Value Targets found in compounds (no achievement for clearing these compounds as far as i am aware and theres a fair amount of them in all sections). Now if you are in the area and get bored by all means go for the target - they are only worth 2500TP (TP is currency) to put this into sheer facts - Thats not enough for a decent rifle, nowhere close. I use the Knight 110 - Semi Auto, No bipod attachments, 24x variable scope, large mag. Cost 10,000+TP. The only reason to go for these "High Value" targets is for the achievements (25%, 50%, 70% and 100% in 1 playthrough). To put this into better terms - You get more fir raiding a wallet you find in a house marked with a diamond.

Now the map (or Maps as I believe there are 3) they are filled with little "(?)" just plotted and these are literally everything - Fast Travel unlocks, collectibles, "Extreme navigation Challenges" (neither extreme or challenging just push CTRL), Collectibles in compounds etc. Every played an Ubisoft game? Essentially that - an empty map full of trivial ♥♥♥♥ to do to keep completionists happy. The majority of the map is just filler.

Ever played an Ubisoft game? Yeah its essentially that - This is not a typo or me forgetting what i was saying.

This is an Ubisoft game but not made by Ubisoft

That is the best way to describe it. I simply cannot reccomend this game to anyone unless you are already a fan of the series. This game basically tries to cast as wide a net as possible to catch as much as possible.

Save your money. Buy an actual Ubisoft game - at least they make Ubisoft games good.

Rghteraclas, I've got a RX 470, an i5 6400, and 8gb of ram, no overclock, no tweaks at all, and it only lags on the safehouse from the first map I guess it's different for everyone.

I have same processor and ram as u but my gpu is gtx 1060 strix OC.

While its not the strongest rig around, i expect it to run this game with no issues. So the review had me taken aback tbh

Guess i will just stick with sniper elite

I don't believe the latest patches worked as you say CIG...
In truth some glitches are even worse now?!...
Ok, this game has never run "fast and quiet", but now the lag are making it unplayable?!

Latest patch fixed numerous issues which include game optimization, draw distance, AI improvements and many more. We highly suggest to check it out along with the newest DLC "The Sabotage" that gives you more inside to story line, new maps and new epic gadgets :)

Yep. Me too. This game is awesome, when playable...but it keeps freezing and crashing!! Tried to troubleshoot online, but nothing worked. Ahh well. Guess it`ll sit in the backlog for a while. And before anyone comments, yes, my rig meets the requirements.

I wont lie - If I could have completed it I might have enjoyed it. But the crashing issue I have encontered so far makes it rather hard
