Alright the game is fully out. I loved the story, the character, soundtrack, it was an amazing ride. I even bought the deluxe edition to support the game, they deserve it. I nominated dispatch for GOTY and Steam Awards so let's go.

I'm still keeping my 'Not Recommended' review tho for the technical I hope they can fix up to make this a 10/10 for me.

I play on a 4K display, and the game is full of compression artifacts that look like a poorly encoded video, which completely breaks my immersion. I looked for display settings, but there are none. I used FModel to extract the game's data and confirmed it's just a sequence of 1440p, 30fps VP9 .webm files. (This also explains why your FPS counter might show 60+fps, but the actual video motion is locked to 30). Whatever algorithm they used is dog water. This explains the tiny download size, but it's unacceptable for those of us with better hardware.

Please, devs, give us a DLC option for uncompressed 4K/60fps video files or let us render the game ourselves 🙏

The new update is probably great, but I have not played it as i'm not willing to spend more money on this game. Just decided to jump back into the game after a hiatus and I just feel that it is more toxic than ever. In the grand scheme of things it is not worth your time to sink countless hours into a game just to be called a waste of oxygen. I don't think it was this bad before it was free to play. Put your time into something more rewarding, fun and worthwhile.

Very useful software, sure you wont use it all the time for every game. But when you need it it's a life saver.

This game is most likely one of the best story games that I have played. I may only have 1.9 hours playtime on my steam account but that is because I already own and have finished the game on xbox, this game is definatly worth buying if not even buying twice.
