Completed the game in about 70 hours fully clearing every map and doing a bit more than necessary to win. Completed all of the achievements in about 10 hours after that with the end game base fully working on them, hunting down the enemies was actually the hard part. I had to replay the first zone to finish the artifacts achievement, and was really getting into it even though I had just finish a game, so I know the replay value is there.

Now, you may think the main antagonist of this game is the void, or all those little robots trying to shoot you while you gather artifacts, however the actual enemy you will be fighting for the entire game is transfer rate limits. Actually moving items between buildings is a simple as point and clicking, but the thing you need to pay attention to is how much is that machine going to eat and how many machines can the transfer rate of what you're sending from support. Pipes are a habitual offender in this case, as for much of the game they are locked at a 300/m rate but the ships you are required to fuel have so much fuel capacity you are unable to fill them up before exploding if you don't wait for the fuel depot to completely refill it's internal supply, making it necessary to only build 1 ship at a time in the later stages. And then when you get pipes mk2, the fuel required for the larger ships increases that the problem repeats! This is really my only criticism of the game, buff pipes!

That said it was an overall enjoyable playthrough, as far as factory games go it's pretty simple, mostly because I think the logistics is so straight forward. It really is point and click. It's more of the ratios and transfer rate limits you need to keep an eye on and figure out. The combat and exploration is pretty fun, and investing your first few artifacts into laser damage and recharge will make you feel so much stronger too. Having to defend your bases scratches the tower defense itch, I wouldn't even mind more frequent attacks maybe as a way to get some extra resource income.

Overall it's a very fun and easy to pick up game. I never really got the 'progression paralysis' that other games can give when you don't want to start your next project. You might be waiting a bit for ships to finish or materials to build up but there's always minor tweaks to do, and everything can pretty much run on its own with no baby sitting (with proper defenses), so it's a very chill play through. Definitely worth $20 and I look forward to future updates.

Super chill factory builder game. Infinite resources means no stressing about having to move setups or depleting a mine, but it does have an anti afk feature of having to repair your equipment every so often, which can also be automated to an extent. So chill you can even fish during down time. Not as fleshed out as factorio or satisfactory as of writing this, but still solid for its price.
