If you detach yourself from the tone setting that was set from the previous two and just look at as a "Die Hard" experience then this game is right up your alley! The late James McCaffrey gives his ultimate swan song performance as Max Payne in this insane thrill ride from start to finish

The bullet time is well done, destructible environments, the way the npcs and max react to every situation during a shootout. It's just chefs kiss; although I will say that final sequence was unnecessarily insane lol you don't need to do all of that for the sake showing off the potential and firepower of the RAGE engine that was going to be used for GTA V; in fact a lot of sequences were like: "Okay but can GTA V do that?" lol, maybe GTA 6 but not V come on now.

Whether it be on sale or full price. I sincerely recommend this game either way. Thank you James McCaffrey for all the memories. Max Payne dearest of all my friends you are now a bit closer to heaven <3
