This sequel has better and more content, presentation, animation and quality of life. But somehow, this game also has significantly worse gameplay experience than the first game.
  • While killing enemy is as snappy as the first game, the game will have weird slow down when killing some enemy (No this isn't a slow down from breaking objects and buildings)
  • The playing field (The line where your range indicator and enemy hit point is) is now on the bottom of the screen and your health bar is on the top. Unlike the first game where both is in the middle of screen, not making you glace to the other side of the screen to check it
  • Your character will sometimes do multi hit moves that kill multiple enemy regardless of your input (This in itself isn't bad but it can took you out of the zone and pacing).
  • Enemy with melee weapon will now not always drop their weapon on the ground when killed which mean grabbing it in midair like the first game is now often result in a miss
  • The new brawler is a massive downgrade. Despite the dev trying to fix it with 'expert brawler mod' I cannot see the difference between it on and off. But the worst offender is they make the brawler only show the input feed at most 4 bars at the time. From what I've read in the forums, they tried to slow down the brawler because the brawler in the first game has 'too many samey animations'. So instead of fast multi button inputs rush like the first game, The brawler in this game felt like a slog to get through and killed your pacing when playing in high speed.

In conclusion,
if you loved and played the first game, don't get this game if you can't be bother to relearn the muscle memory for it. Stick with first game.
If you've never played the first game before, This game is perfect for you and you gonna love it.

If There's the third game in the making, I'd love for it to have the same gamefeel and UI of the first game with the content of this game.
