This is a fun, casual puzzler where you get to turn back the wheels of time against the forces of entropy
Or in other words: You makes lines and knots.

tl;dr If you liked the first part, this one will do you well, too.
Enjoy!

The most fun you can have for 1,59 Euro.

Also thanks to the game, I now see mushrooms everywhere :-)

Most cerebral fun I've ever had with a free game on Steam.

The game takes you by the hand, has all the important features, so in a short time you can easily solve the randomly generated puzzles of all skill levels.

.. After 25 hours I'm still somewhat stuck in the middle, where there are no obvious hints any more and you have to "guess" the right combination... and if you guessed wrong, you get to check all the board to remove the faulty combinations again.. I still suck at that part. :-)

Biggest waste of time and money.
Help yourself become rich, find a life and joy.. do not play this game!
Or do the conga with a bunch of people in 2fort.. until a bot joins and ruins your party.

Think "Vanishing of Ethan Carter".
Think "Psychological Horror".
Think "no jumpscares".

Great music. Great atmosphere. Graphics are nice, too. Some of the sounds in the lategame can become a bit annoying, but I get what the devs tried to do there, and I appreciate it. It's still a bit annoying to me in the lategame :-)

A little warning: Do not play this in a depressive mood, but other than that this game gets a full thumbs-up from me.

RIP "Renée".

Planetbase is actually fun to play. The AI can be somewhat weird in what it chooses to prioritize (big tip: don't think of them as human beings!). The game itself though is quite polished, yet leaves some of the mechanics to be found out by the player (IMO this is part of the game).

The "challenges" feature introduced a while back is a good (and fun) test where you get to find out how good you actually are at that game. Those "challenge" scenarios are provided by the PB community as well as the developers.

Also, I found the S category (storm) planets to be sufficiently non-trivial to manage :-)

So, if you are looking for a sim game with a little challenge, if you, yes, like Banished, then go ahead, play this game.
Also you can get it for 14 Euro in the current survival humble bundle (today's date is 2016-08-09).

Just to start out with this:
This game took me 7 hours for a rookie run.

If you like The Talos Principle, you will enjoy this.
If you enjoy this, you will like The Talos Principle.

Some of the concepts in this game seem to have slipped into TPP, but it's a good game in its own right.

The music is great and relaxing.
The puzzles are quite challenging at times.
The resource management isn't needed though, UNLESS you hold shift while running and jumping all the time, like I did. You might run into problems if you do that :-)

It has some bugs, like you get stuck sometimes in walls and beams. Nothing a quick in-game rollback couldn't fix though.
Also there are a few graphic bugs at times with the beams which make the game look kinda trippy.

If in doubt, get this game. You will probably not regret it. Especially if you are into puzzles. Then get it pronto!
It was time and money well spent (got it from humblebundle.com for 2.99 :-)).

Early Access Review
If you liked SPAZ 1, but disliked the grind, go play SPAZ 2.
If you prefer tactical play in the form of Sid Meier's Starships, with a good portion of hands-on fighting in between, go play SPAZ 2.
If you like slaving away min-max'ing your ship until it becomes the most powerful build it can be (for now), go play SPAZ 2.

That said, coming from SPAZ 1 originally, I really like the new look. The music is great. The gameplay is solid. The 2 man dev team is busy pumping out patch (hotfixes) after patch (features).

The only (slightly) dark shadow is the beginning of the game.. the learning curve seems a bit steep as the game is now. But the devs have this topic on their roadmap already.

If you like an Early Access game with actually active developing, go buy SPAZ 2 and enjoy the ♥♥♥♥ out of it. Oh, and there are zombies ;-)

The hardware needs of this game are horrendous. Have a recent (1-2 years old) high end PC if you want to play this. If you don't, don't even try. Good luck :-)

Beautiful. Stunning. Aurial Galore. And a nice story with a twist. Definitely recommended for a few good hours of mystery gameplay.
