I was pretty late to the party on this one. However, five years after release this title stands as one of the greatest games I've ever played. I've always been a huge fan of Batman, but I never expected to be immersed in that world and character so intensely. The gameplay is great, the story fits perfectly into the existing Batman mythos, and the visuals stand up TO. THIS. DAY. I couldn't believe how spot on they were with even the smallest details, and how well they fleshed out the geography of the Asylum. Just when you think the game would begin to get stale they throw you a curveball, or a different style of gameplay. Whether it be Scarecrow's fear gas induced hallucinations, or a mad dash from a raging Killer Croc, I was consistently entertained and surprised throughout. And I'm not a major completionist, but I couldn't help but solve everything the Riddler threw at me throughout the game.

This game is timeless. 10/10, would Batman again.
