I, like others, have been waiting for a Harvest Moon game to come to the PC for such a long time. The Harvest Moon series has been one of my all time favorite series I've played since I was a kid. I'm so glad this game came out and became as successful as it did as so many other farming sim games have been starting to come out as a result.

There's multiple farm layouts to choose from at the start of the game each giving you an advantage in a specific skill and changing the main way you earn money and how you play during your playthrough. The game has farming, fishing, foraging, mining, combat, exploration, and so much more.

Like the Harvest Moon series you can grow many crops depending on the season, care for your animals and farm materials from them such as milk, eggs, wool, etc. and craft it into other items which you can then sell. You can get married and have children in the game, you're able to upgrade your tools, buy furniture, expand your house, get a horse stable, build chicken coops, sheds, silos, barns, and choose where on your farm to put them, and so much more.

The game has a museum where you can collect books, gems, artifacts, fossils, etc. and complete the museums collection. You can restore the community centre unlocking locations, buildings, and more.

There's so much you can do in this game and you can easily get more than a hundred hours, even several hundred hours just from a single playthrough. Not to mention there's various mods you can also install to add more content to the game and get even more hours out of it.

The game has great music and chill gameplay if you just want to sit back, relax, and have some fun in a stress free game (unless you're like me and make a list of the best gifts to give to every npc, make a list of which fish to catch during which season, time, and weather and make sure you get everything within the first year, and use a farm planner to pre-plan the entire layout of your farm).

This is another good cost to hours game, where it's only $17 Canadian (less during sales of course) and you can easily get several hundred hours or even more than a thousand. It has great replayability with so much to do in the game, just don't go to the arcade in-game and play Junimo Kart.

I would easily recommend this game to anyone who is a fan of farming sims such as Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, Rune Factory, Innocent Life, etc.

(Seriously, don't play Junimo Kart unless you're a masochist).
