A collection of brilliant and fun games. Brings back the excitement of exploring each games in a cartridge your parent(s) bought you.

Most likely you won't enjoy every 50 of these games. Especially the first game, Barbuta, might leave a bad first impression with its clunky gameplay. But the more you explore UFO 50, the more likely you'll find a game that has the power to keep you hooked for hours. Genres are so diverse in this collection.

I tried every game, and completed 3 of them so far.

Mooncat is captivating with its surrealistic visual style and hauntingly beautiful melodies. Control scheme is quite unconventional, I believe this is for reflecting the difficulty the protagonist having while moving in this alien world. It is a reason you might dislike Mooncat, or enjoy Mooncat *despite this*, or enjoy Mooncat *especially for this*. Nonetheless, that unconventional control is inseparable from Mooncat's identity.

Attactics is a fast paced strategy game with an easy learning curve. New unit types are introduced as you progress in the campaign. Your computer opponent doesn't really have an AI that makes any decision, but its troops are more than yours and sometimes even more powerful, which makes the game sufficiently difficult.

Warptank's game mechanic is brilliantly creative. Pure fun. Levels get really hard when it's close to the end, but never to the point of becoming frustrating.

UFO 50 is a monument of indie creativity.
