As the level of skill increases, the enjoyment tends to dwindle. But... that's not because the game gets less fun. As your skill level increases, so does your understanding of the game, most times those would go hand-in-hand. Those lower ranked games never seem to have the level of seriousness you find in an esea PUG or a high-ranked Match-Make. its a basic formula: Greater Skill = Greater Understanding. That means when you get killed in an unfortnate fashion, it causes more anger or dissatisfaction. This is where CS's greatest pitfall lies. "Counter-Strike is not a fun game. Nobody enjoys playing CS. I don't have a good time while I'm playing the game. I'll play this game, and I'll sit here, and I'll fume. I'll get so mad, I want to uninstall the game, but as soon as I close the game, I miss it. As soon as you stop playing, its back to 'man, I really wanna play some Counter-Strike" as JasonR puts it, and he could not be more correct.

The fundamentals of the game just make sense. Throw a smoke, throw a flash, run out and kill people, maybe plant the bomb, maybe win the round. It's simple stuff. To a new player, that's exactly how they look at it, and that's okay! To the casual player, its a simple point-click interface with a "competetive" aspect, which turns the 10v10 casual game mode into a 5v5 match. No need for clients, 128 tick servers, and god forbid you know a few set smokes. However, to the much more experienced player, Counter-Strike is a complicated machine, requireing perfect, well thought out executions, with timing being a major factor in the success rate of the strat.

On the topic of music; in 2017 I listened to 180k minutes of music, and 2018, 150k. Needless to say, music has had a huge impact on my life.
As of lately, I've been listening to a lot of metal and rock.

As far as first person shooters go, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is by far my favorite. I had a review written for this game almost two years ago when I first began playing this game consistantly, and started to care about my skill level, however, I feel like my initial review didn't really portray how I view the game. However, after over Five Thousand hours logged on the game, I feel like I may be able to give a more reasonable and useful review of this first person shooter.

I would like to start off by pointing out the success of this game as time progressed. In early 2015 when I started playing, the monthly unique users that logged on was in the 4 millions. After 2 and a half years, CS:GO has more than 11.4 million users playing every month, being one of Valves most successful games. People absolutely love this game, don't just take my word for it! ask one of the hundreds of thousands of players playing in any region at any given time.
