this has the makings of a decent game but kind of falls flat due to lack of a save feature. its not fun spending like ten minutes crawling a level only to get ganked by some hidden enemy and having to start entirely over. also the guns all sort of feel similar which is a huge neg when thats all your game is, shooting stuff. the enemy variety could use a little work maybe too

that said the level design is fun, though they seem to be mostly flat maps and buildings so theres a bit of room for improvement still. I see a lot of potential from this dev to make something really good in the future. hoping to see something on the level of dusk from them one day.

overall i got my $1 worth of enjoyment out of it so it gets a recommended

This game is fun enough but after playing it for a while it feels like the game is just arbitrary, like youre not really making any important choices. you just clear each level and move on to the next, and you either get enough weapons to make your way through or you don't. this probably is less noticable when you have a longer game and have had a chance to curate your pack more but most of my early deaths were from literally having no weapons. I get that its a zombie game and you have to run sometimes but you can't do that when you haven't found the exit yet. its just that i really hate the early game of roguelikes. if that all sounds fun to you then this game is well made and you should buy it, probably on sale.

this is less of a card battler and more of a solitare game where youre scoring against a clock. if thats what youre looking for then you might have fun with this. personally it doesn't do it for me. I didn't play for very long but it feels like this will get wierd when you change to monster mode but your deck is still daytime? not sure.

this game is fun but i wouldn't pay more than like five bucks for it. theres not enough variety or content to be your next rougelike and it really feels more like an early access game than a full release. what is here is definitely fun but you're not gonna put more than like ten or maybe twenty hours max into it before doing everything there is to do. if the dev put more time and effort into making more content i could see this being a truly great game but as it stands its just fine.

when you have a math and cs degree and have to spend thirty minutes researching what and how to buy to get everything you want and nothing you dont then something is seriously wrong. like i get that there is some carryover from previous games but like come on now this is ridiculous. there are literally no descriptions on some of these options. do you want my money or not? luckily reddit comes through with a very helpful graphic (https://www.reddit.com/r/HiTMAN/comments/18w8zet/2024_guide_to_buying_hitman_3_and_world_of/).

tldr - you probably want to buy "hitman woa deluxe edition" which includes everything from 1 2 and 3 and the relevant h2 expansion. I bought part one at first because it was $3 and i wasn't sure if i would like it. I was hoping to get the upgrade pack to save some money on just the content from 2 and 3 but i dont think that exists anymore i cannot find it in the store at all. I will have to refund the "deluxe pack" because its just a couple of dlc i guess? the older reviews said it was all h2 content but that appears to have changed or was just incorrect or maybe i misunderstood (notice the confusing names, "deluxe edition" vs "deluxe pack"). hopefully steam will refund me because the "deluxe pack" is included in the "deluxe edition"

as far as the game itself goes I think hitman 1 is one of the best single player games i have EVER played. seriously the final level was utterly amazing and i loved every moment of it. very excited to get all three games for $50 on sale. hopefully this review will help someone out because i have never seen a game with a more confusing purchasing scheme. honestly the UI is kind of confusing too it took me like a day to figure out how to actually start a mission from the main menu. which sounds like im a fool but if you google "hitman world of assassination" the first result isn't even their official site its a reddit thread talking about how confusing the UI is lmao
