@SGT.Conrad , hey I'm happy to hear it's all working for you, man! I'm sorry I don't really have a favourite, I like almost all of them. If I had to state which ones I prefer, I'd have to say Piper (her attitude and she yells out where enemies are a lot it seems), Cait (she's crazy lol and she's good with a melee weapon and good armour, as a distraction), Dogmeat (yah he detects enemies amazingly) - I suppose I really like robots the best though (Automatron DLC) - I use them the most on my playthroughs, once I get to unlocking the DLC. You can make huge robots that can carry more than you, or have explosive-launching addons, or melee tanks that can hold off enemies. I find I prefer making them with Thruster legs (like Codsworth) so they can move faster to the enemy; yet, for some reason I always turn on their Personality if I'm not already using Ada or Cods. I have to admit I haven't tried them all yet though, haven't done Far Harbour or used Hancock much (Ghouls scare me haha).

Also, small question, Who do would you perfer? Dogmeat or other companions? i like dogmeat the most because he kinda has the smartest AI detection and literally can be buffed with a small mod. He also is better in judging because he doesn't. Not to mention, he can kinda teleport to enemies because he has brilliant AI entering and exiting.

ACtually, i was using a controller on my PC for the first time and when i exited a save and i unplugged my controller, and went back 5 hours later, it was working. My controller is one of those old logitec controllers. The ones that look like sega console controllers. Thanks.

@SGT.Conrad , wow sorry to hear that hmmm... It could be so many things, here are a few ideas though: If you have a controller, try unplugging it/them. Sometimes these can confuse games and it will try to 'input' from the Controller and ignore the Keyboard. Did you 'move' your Saves somewhere (copy/paste) I'd hate to have you 'lose' your Saves heh, if they weren't that important that's fine (this game is great to replay over and over and try different things/meet different NPCs). Since you deleted the Mods too (and DL'd new ones somewhere?), try Uninstalling the game, Deleting your Saves/Fallout 4 folder in Users area/folders and close Steam, DL the game again (sorry it's huge), then restart Steam and Verify the files, then try the game again. Things that that help a lot, some people have to do it in a different order, both ways work. Just a few ideas mate, GL with it

hey dude, i need some help on my fallout 4, i was playing and i had some old mods installed. I deleted all my past saves and i deleted the old mods and got new ones. but now when i keep on trying to restart the game,at the beginning of the game, I CAN'T DO ANYTHING. i can't interact or even pause. I looked on the internet and i only found a solution for XBOX players who had this problem.

@Simon R. (Last Of War) , grats on Fallout 3! With A.D.D., that was one of the first games I ever played all the way through to the end (I usually switch games far sooner, playing something else then coming back around to it later). You're like me - I find it hard to part with some Characters, heh

hey yo, I got Fallout 3! I was playing yesterday and i was on a Quest...The quest had a difficult Choice. Killing one of my favorite character to get 5000 caps, or i revolt and kill the Contractor but not get any money. Meh. ill just Go with killing the contractor, i do have cheats.

Update to "How I finally got NMS working..." : Sadly, NMS no longer runs for me - I even tried the 'roll back drivers to 391 then reinstall latest GPU drivers on top' again, but that did not work anymore. No Man's Sky just appears on the Taskbar for a moment, blinks, then 'closes itself'. I will try to remember to Post here and share any 'fix' if I can find one again...

@~luv Ethereal , lol thanks, it was mostly 'totally forgetting about the main storyline and having fun building up Settlements' - I am having way too much fun doing that, like it's some Sims game or something - that, and trying out some 'Ironman Survival Mode' playthroughs where I limit myself to dying once, they are fun too but I lost track of how many deaths I've had to Molotovs (including my own hitting an overhang close by or something), my own Grenades bouncing back, lucky one-shot headshots by enraged Raiders, etc etc haha... I only completed the Storyline once ('seen the ending' once) with the Institute, but I am almost done a Brotherhood playthrough now - I really should get back into it and 'finish' the game, seeing all the different Faction endings... Anyway thanks for stopping by

How I finally got NMS working..

Since the BEYOND release I had a problem with No Man's Sky.. The game wouldn't start/launch - after messing with it for about a week, I finally figured out that worked...

» Regress the GPU drivers until the game works (for me, that meant I re-installed older NVIDIA GPU Driver version 391.01 - if you want to try the exact version I found worked for me, the link to NVIDIA's release of that Driver is here:

» Once game is verified as 'working without issues', re-install latest GPU Driver 'on top of' the currently installed Drivers (not ‘clean install’). I found I also had to select to install the "NVIDIA HD Audio" and "NVIDIA 3D" options, as well… That's it!

Of course, this may not be your specific issue with NMS not starting for you; but perhaps it can help the game to run for some of you, too. Good Luck with it - and a many-a-Good-Journey to you, Travellers!

JFYI Update: I am no longer 'stuck' at "100 Points" - I had to MANUALLY go to the Gameplay/Achievements area and click on the arrow there to 'Unlock' more Points to use - now I am 2000/11000 Points again! (This was not working yesterday or the day before, when I thought they should have 'Reset'). GL - I hope it works for you, too!

I have been encountering an issue where the output sometimes seems 'corrupted' (looks like a video signal that is not complete or has interference) - but this issue does not seem to occur with the ACTION Beta Version 3 - try this version out, if you are experiencing this issue.

Ah yes heh, I say that when I post, for a few reasons: One, I wish to express my ‘butting in’ to a conversation, as I am usually not responding to anyone in particular, I often just ‘pop in’, to explain an issue further, or to simplify an issue; often attempting to assist others in understanding why others may be upset about some concept. Also, I do it so that my posts are more…“unique”, they are ‘mine’, as it were, and others can easily spot/search for my comments, if they desire (to respond, quote, etc). Lastly, I do it to add to the civility of a conversation a bit, as the number of short, sometimes curt/terse posts seem to be increasing in the past years, on forums (forii?) everywhere – I simply wish to contribute to perhaps a more civil, friendly atmosphere in these text-based media interactions. I apologize if the usage of the term offends you, friend...
