Great game to spend hundreds of hours in.
So don't worry about that pricepoint, this game is worth it.

Yes. Demo! This game has one.

If you came here to find a game that plays like SPAZ1 played, you are looking at the wrong game.
If you came here to play a NEW game within the Lore and universe that made you like SPAZ1, this is one to check.

Things have changed. Not just game play and perspective. (It's in 3D now)
But the universe has evolved.
No longer you have your mothership huddled in a corner of a sector, but is your main method of transport and assault.
And the ships you flew before? They are your strike craft now.
(some new ones, some old ones to recognize)

The universe can also be freely explored, instead of jumped through. Sector for sector.

But the main bit...
You aren't the only Pirate in Space anymore.
200 other virtual captains are trying to make their ends meet, by making you meet your end.

And the Zombies? It wouldn't be SPAZ2 if it would be having them return.

The campaign is mainly there as a tutorial, where most of the meat is in the Sandbox mode.
Doesn't mean you shouldn't play the campaign. That's also giving you the story.
While in the Sandbox you can tweak almost everything to make it as easy or brutally hard as you desire.

And our good ol' Characters from SPAZ1? They pretty much all make their return. FULLY VOICED.
Yes. Actual voice actors have given them some vocal chords to flex.
Oh. Don't like That? Well, then there is also an option to set each individual character to a Text to Speech kinda voice, which in my personal opinion also sounds quite well.



I bought this game the moment there was a buy button to see, due to how good SPAZ1 was.
Never regretted it ever, with how SPAZ2 came out to be.



What about the downsides?
Multiplayer had to be axed due to the upgrades to the Unity engine and modding like in SPAZ1 isn't considered on the table.
Another one is that the AI of those 200 other captains isn't the smartest as it seems.

A game that just about has everything cool in games.

It has Pirates! "Arrg!"
It has Zombies! "Brains!"
It has Civilians! "Please don't shoot me!"
It has Military! "STOP! We'll shoot!"

And also Bounty Hunters! "All your rez belongs to us!"

Get it now! Before there's no resource left and the zombies have eaten you alive! ;)

Like slapping minions? I bet you do, else you wouldn't be checking this.
This game allows you to slap many minions. (and other things) in order to be the purest evil around.

There IS cake at the end of the Portal!!

The having of merely 2 servers kills most of the fun (esp. the waiting time on it)
But the mix of a multiplayer shooter with a combo of single player RPG makes this a rather interesting game to play. Once you're on the server that is.
