Endless Dungeon is a game I want to enjoy and keep playing. But after buying this game for two friends and I, I'm starting to regret it just a tad. For a thirty-dollar game, there are way too many bugs on release. Half of them come from the co-op mode, which is supposed to be the main selling point. Otherwise, I'd be playing BTD 6 or something.

The Pros

+ Unique Character Design

+ Banger Soundtrack

+ Unique Enemies

+ Addicting

The Cons

Fair warning: This will contain individual cases of bugs that really kill my vibe, along with intentional gameplay mechanics

- Quests not being completed despite the mission description (both in solo and co-op)

- Downgrade from 4 to 3-player co-op (Dungeon Of The Endless had 4-player co-op)

- 3 player solo is locked behind scrap (grinding system) for seemingly no reason

- Co-op progression system is non-existent for some quests/unlocks. This is being reworked, but since it launched like that on release... :(

- Co-op bosses missing health bars or having inaccurate health bars after being damaged

- Co-Op bosses being invisible to non-hosting parties

- Solo bosses missing health bars or having inaccurate health bars after being damaged

- Weird audio bugs when boss music and firing weapons happen (it's like getting hit with a concussion grenade)

- Characters repeat the same line after clearing a wave or zone

- Red Eye boss constantly repeats her lines over and over every ten seconds, both in doing the objective and not doing the objective

- Questionable optimization of co-op concerning the connection between friends

- Final boss (final phase) being not targeted by Comrade's turrets (unless shoved)

- Most short-range turrets suck, not even damage output to justify the short-range

- Unbalanced weapons

- Unbalanced characters both in the op department and the trash department

- Enemy types not spawning on the correct floors (Transcendence Center spawns Blobs for some reason)

- The gunplay feels good at first, then once you see it all, there's no more charm

- Researching or upgrading sometimes selects the other selection if you choose with a mouse instead of a keyboard

- Crystal Bot walking back and forth between nothing (kills the run)

- Enemies getting stuck on nothing

- Bland upgrade system that has only a few good options (the one before your run starts)

- Limited character selection (way more in Dungeon Of The Endless). They might add more characters in the future, and hopefully, it won't be paid DLC. If it is. Major yikes.

- Wit is practically useless in high amounts (only used for two things, and one of them is exceptionally insignificant

- Less mechanics and strategy than Dungeon of The Endless, feels like Darkest Dungeon 2 all over again

And yeah. That's what's wrong with the game. Aside from the drama, I have no clue what surrounds the game regarding "diversity" from one Steam discussion and the developers telling people not to buy their game. But that's developer drama, and they can choose to be ♥♥♥♥♥ to their consumers if they wish, but it won't be surprising if this game ceases development if sales aren't met. Additionally, this game uses Denuvo, which is another anti-cheat people hate. But based on the bugs, errors, and other glitches my friends and I have experienced, it's safe to say that Denuvo is working against the typical consumer.

You can buy the game at your own risk. It's fun to get into with friends for a while, but I don't see long-term development if the developers stop replying to troll threads and work on their game.
