Ignore the hours played, since the game highly incentivizes you to leave it running 24/7.

TLDR; The game requires spending at least $100-$150 in order to be playable past a couple weeks.

I decided it give it a shot, since I was feeling nostalgic for the Nexon days. I got into it pretty hard, until shortly after reaching the level cap. The endgame progression requires stockpiling epic armor sets. This is an RNG progression nightmare, but not really my main complaint. Naturally, trying to hoard all those pieces fills up your storage pretty quick. I saw the safe upgrade in the shop for $1, so I loaded up on the premium currency CERA and went to buy it, only to realize that you can't even use the in-game shop until you reach "Steel Tier". How does one reach "Steel Tier", you ask? By spending ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY dollars on their webstore, which doesn't include storage upgrades.

That's right. In order to store more than the base number of items (practically required for epic progression), you have to spend $150 or wait for 6-12 months for them to sell a buyable safe upgrade for $20 (What a bargain /s). It's not only safe upgrades. Even the starter pack is locked behind this paywall. $150 just for the right to BUY the starter pack. What a joke.

Pretty disgusting DLC policy, even outside the absurd paid cosmetics. It's a lot harder to get into the game with the word 'USD' popping up all the time.

Early Access Review
The game is still in Early Access at the time of this review, and certainly a little light on content at the moment, having only a single Act with a single boss. That hasn't stopped me from playing this game constantly. Andrew is extremely active in the community, and obviously cares about listening to feedback and improving this game.

If you play this game as it is now, with the only intent of completing the objective, you might be a bit disappointed in the difficulty, or find the game a bit shallow. In my opinion, what makes this game enjoyable, in it's current state, isn't just beating the game, but how you beat the game. This game gives you the freedom to be "sick with it", and makes you feel like you can do anything. The Titanfall inspired movement, combined with the level layouts, and the aiming/gunplay system rewarding you for moving fast and doing parkour, encourage you to fly around, smiting enemies and doing sick tricks along the way. Even the movement system alone is satisfying enough to keep me hooked. 80% of my playtime has been speedrunning this game without any enemy spawns at all.

TLDR; Caring dev, enjoyable movement/gunplay systems, and lots of potential. Enjoy the movement and gunplay for now, and get ready to enjoy the content when it comes.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this game. As others have mentioned, the story and characters couldn't be any more generic. However, this was my first time playing an "arena slasher" game, and it got me hooked. I would liken it to the Devil May Cry series, if DmC just dropped the pretense and was nothing but fighting enemies. No BS, no walking around, just combos. The camera is one of the toughest enemies in the game, and you'll be fighting it constantly. I think there is some skill involved, but every playthrough seemed to devolve into abusing the same combo repeatedly.
