For an early access game its done right. Its fun survival game that is done right. You don't have to use materials to repair your gear, and you get all materials back from anything you build. Oh you didn't like the position or you didn't like the way it came out. That's fine you can just destroy it and get all your stuff back. Building in this game is amazing and takes a little bit to get used to. Once you do get used to it then your imagination is the only limit.

Food is only needed in order to increase your HP. So you won't starve to death if you don't eat. But there is a wide variety of food to mix and match with. Some increase your HP more than your stamina. Others increase your stamina more than HP. So depending on how you play there are different foods for you to use.

Combat is fun and the wide variety of weapons makes it unique. You can basically play anything you want except a magic user. Be a Viking warrior with a sword or axe. Or if those don't do if for you there are also spears, maces, and 2 handed hammers. Or you can be a ranger and just shoot thing with different kinds of arrows. Normal, Fire, Ice, Poison, Metal tip. Or you can be stealthy and back stab something with your dagger for massive damage. Lots of play styles to chose from.

The biomes in the game are fun to adventure around, but do require you to have better armor. I wasn't sure when I was asked to try it out but I'm addicted now. All in all this is a great game and a bargain at $20 for sure.
