Sometimes I lie down and think about everything I’ve been through, everything that happened, all the opportunities I let slip by, and all the moments I didn't fully embrace.
Sometimes I feel such an overwhelming urge to cry over the traumas life has dealt me, the friends I’ve lost, my own actions, my lack of maturity, and the naivety of wanting a perfect life.
I’ve learned a lot and achieved a lot, but it’s not enough.
I’ve been hurt so many times by confused people, by people who wished me ill, by people who toyed with my feelings, claimed to love me, messed with my head, and judged my deepest insecurities; yet all I ever did was accept it, because I was such a fool.
But then you ask: did it do any good? Did you learn from your mistakes? Did you stop being a fool and open your eyes regarding your "loves"?
And the answer is...
No, I don't think so. Because I’m a sucker; I keep pinning my hopes and expectations on people, even though deep down I know that, in the end, it’ll just be me all on my own.
