This game has taught me the most valuable lesson to get people to like you; keep shoving gems down their throat until they're ready to burst.

Honestly, even if you think the concept of looking after a digital farm seems a bit tedious and not enjoyable in the slightest, just give it a try until you realised you wasted forty hours on something that doesn't even exist. With the amount that you are able to do you won't just find yourself tediously waiting for a parsnip to bud, just slay a few critters, gather fish, drown yourself in precious metals or do the unthinkable and actually socialise with people.

It's like a pleasant slice of life series except it's actually happening to you (but not really)
