Was really holding off on getting this game, glad I never officially purchased it. Had it for their free weekend and that was it. Game mechanics are super clunky, had a few hiccups in the beginning and it just continued throughout the weekend. I do not have the most fancy PC; AMD 12 core, 32GB Ram, and a AMD 7900 XTX and it was just problem after problem. Never had a game run this poorly on my rig, tried different configurations and still did not seem to improve anything. Do yourself a favor and get anything else, ANYTHING.

This one would be a 9/10 for me. I did not think I would actually be giving GOTY to ROBOCOP Rouge City, but its honestly the best Robocop ANYTHING we have had since the first to movies.

If you enjoyed the 80's style of the RoboCop movie then you will like the feel of this game as they mostly stayed true to that aesthetic. Peter Weller, the same actor from the movies, was used for this creation so they definitely put in the effort for this game.

The sound effects are minimal but I did enjoy the score, would have benefited from an actual orchestra but it all fits in. The music style in combat really does have a late 80's/early 90's vibe to it. The graphics as far as environments go are at times quite impressive as you would expect for an Unreal 5 based game, though there is a weird contrast in some area. You'll definitely want a more powerful GPU for the Unreal 5, and 4K with 60fps just looks spectacular!

Characters also take on a somewhat last gen quality to them when you enter into dialogue, which is in some ways isn't charming but with how far we have come shouldn't be to hard to sync up dialogue or basic human interactions. Speaking of the characters, this is where the negatives start. The main missions are generally action packed enough to keep it interesting but many of the side missions are painfully tedious. (((SPOILER))) One example is a side mission that has you fetching a towel for a guy who is in the shower... no joke. Stuff like this has me scratching my head seeing there was nothing like this at all in any Robocop universe. There is a LOT of dialogue to get through here and while some love that in RPG games, I have to admit I start to get bored at times and want something more challenging than finding some idiots towel.

If you like to 100% games and do everything as I try to, this one may prove tedious to you as it was to me. I was also frustrated that early on there were things like safes you cant open unless you have a certain level of upgrades but at that early stage of the game it is what it is. Replay value at its finest.

Overall I think they did a pretty good job here and if you want an old school style combat based RPG, or you loved the RoboCop or Robocop 2 movies, this should win your heart over.
