Recently had some desktop issues, not much gaming other than fiddling about on my laptop. Found a computer shop nearby with a very good technician/owner, hella nice guy lent some expertise in me getting this 2010 XPS more gaming capable for not a lot of dough so hopefully back in bidness...everything is freshened up, tripled the RAM and swapped to a better GPU....

Found my summer love I met during my Junior year of high school a few months ago. We reestablished contact and after searching for her for about 15 years, we are getting together in June 2024...one door closes, another opens. Just when I had given up completely and resigned myself to living my final years alone, this happened. Prayers answered.

Okay. Had to say goodbye to my best friend and companion Buddy. My little rescue Maltese. He came down with Cushings disease a couple years ago. Over the span of about 10 days, he went totally blind and needed insulin shots daily. This week, his condition deteriorated quickly. I knew he wasn't going to be cured but he was holding his own. I made the horribly difficult decision to have him put down this morning.He was very stoic, I held his muzzle in my hand and talked to him while the first injection was given, he calmly dropped off. Stayed with him for a bit then his amazing veterinarian gave him the injection to stop his heart.

Had to euthanize my sweet girl Ginger today. She was the most loving and cuddly Doggo I ever encountered. I was blessed with approximately 7 years of her companionship. When she got here, she had no fur, her teeth were black and her claws were almost 3 inches long. For the time she lived with me, she got the best food, veterinary care and an unlimited supply of hugs and pets. She loved everyone. Budman and I will miss her.....

23 April 2021 - Someone once said that we get the government we deserve. Maybe that's true. As one who always respected the rule of law and tried very hard to stay within the lines and follow the laws as best as possible, I don't feel I deserve this government as it exists currently. Less government is needed, less meddling in the lives of private citizens is needed. Keeping more of what you earn is needed. And not a fan of the plan that we will own nothing and be happy.

Veterans Day. Thank you to all who served, sacrificed.

Three glorius days off work, no putting up with ridiculous nonsense from our fearless "Leader". Five days to run some errands, relax, decompress and get a couple of things done around the house. Plan to sleep late a couple days, play some Fallout New Las Vegas, and just enjoy not being out in the murderous sun for awhile. :-D

So.....saturday night.Did laundry today, had a pal drop by and gave him one of my recliners for a bottle of really good Tequila. Fair trade I think.

Yeesh...tried dating again and ended up with a spoiled Princess for 6 months...it was like smacking my thumb with a big hammer...it felt so good when the pain ended. ;)

I am single again. I enjoyed living alone for the 5 years prior to this last ...."relationship"...

Anyway, it's good, I almost thought I would get back into dating but then it hit me...I like being able to do things that I want to do and if I am wasting money on someone who will likely use me to clean up her messes, I won't be able to do what I want. So....in no hurry to start anything. Just me and The Budman...two guys traveling through life...lol.

Got back at 10 last night from Anchorage, AK. Grandson doing okay, brain surgery a success then today at 5, a call from daughter, grandson at the ER, catheter is having issues. Now waiting to hear what neirosurgeon has to say. May be flying back.....

Ahh, I see the unemployment rate has gone UP!
