On one hand, late game exploration is something Stellaris has been severely lacking in since it came out, This DLC barely scratches that itch. It introduces some Astral thread "mechanics"(Yet again archaeology with a different coat of paint) that don't have much impact and by and large are just more things to activate every 10 years for temp modifiers. The actual "threads" themselves don't feel like they hold that much weight or interest behind them, you'd think a DLC themed around late-game exploration of where reality itself starts to unwind would have some more engaging content to go with this new premise, Granted in my current run I've only done 8 of the 30 or so available, but they certainly haven't been memorable in anyway. A handful of new civics are introduced, which I do actually like quite a bit for thematic and play-style variety purposes. You also get another hydraulically pressed, almost AI-generated looking species portrait, so if that's up your alley there's that.

Ive been in favor of PDX DLC releases pretty universally, but cmon guys, This costs as much as other major expansions, with a third of the content ANDDDDD its broken on release *again*. I can't wait to see custodian dev-logs about updating this dlc in 1 year.
