did you know that you can enable the steam overlay with non-steam games? in your library, hit add a game. then click add non-steam game. from there look for the game's shortcut and check the box next to it. then once you're done choosing the games you want, click add slected programs and then you can launch them through steam! (also whenever you play the game, your friends can see that you're playing it)
