10/10 visual novel. I first played this game a week before i graduated from university and it really made me reflect back on my life and all the choices I made. This game has permanently changed how i think of the fall season. Tamarack is the cutest and she deserves nothing but the best.

Really enjoyed this game. I am notoriously bad at skill based games like this, but i found it was a reasonable level of difficulty for most of the climb, albeit i completed it on easy difficulty (and struggled a bit at at that as well). Some of the later targets like the purple flick and blue charge were really hard for me to track, and it was really hard for me to stop a fall once i missed a target until my right click recharged.
The art and graphics were a solid 8-9/10, i really have a soft spot for pixel graphics and the soft lighting from the orbs.
The music was a 10/10, at some points when catching my breath between challenging sections i would just sit there for a couple minutes and vibe to the music. my personal favourite was the dark section's music.

Overall: Loved this game even though i'm horrifically bad at it. I will likely play it again and try it on gamer difficulty. Odds are low i will even attempt pro difficulty however.

I had high expectations for this game after playing Doki Doki Literature Club as I enjoy these sorts of meta 4-th wall shattering narratives. MetaWare High School surpassed those expectations easily. However this game isn't DDLC. There's no big horror reveal. Its just a great story about a group of people in a Visual Novel demo who don't know what eyes are.

10/10 would drink again
