Stellaris. A 4K Grand Strategy game on a Galactic scale. Will you stay small and manage the galaxy from the comfort of your home system? Or will you forcibly spread your will unto the Galaxy, cutting down those who resist? In this gem of a game, it's entirely up to you! Whether you want to make money, commit countless wars, make other empires subjugate themselves to your will and power, almost any kind of play style can fit into this game. Though, I will admit, its quite daunting at first to get a handle on the game mechanics and learning what certain things are good for what situation, this game offers limitless replayability, wonderful times with friends ( OR foes :^) if that's how you see it) Also, one great thing about this game, is that if the Host player has any or all of the DLC, it becomes available for the other players to use as well, so that's a nice little bonus. So TL:DR Great game, decent Learning curve. Definitely a purchase when on sale, or even if its not, gives tonnes of playtime and options I'm sure you'll love it :)
