If you've played both the previous game and the sequel of OCTOPATH TRAVELER before, then you obviously know that OCTOPATH TRAVELER II is probably the best sequel in the series so far. It provides the same gameplay and mechanics as the previous game, but the developers were able to enhance it to the fullest. Every single thing that was lacking in the previous game has either been fixed or improved.

All eight characters are actually INTERACT with each other either in gameplay or story-wise, which I'm really happy to see. Not only that, the final chapter also ties all eight characters' stories into one! All I can say is that all of the stories in this game are well-thought-out. I can see that the developers are actually trying to make the story better and more interesting this time. There's also one part that I would call a "plot-twist" that I really like, but I won't spoil it here.

A new mechanic was also introduced; players are able to change the day and night cycle, which could be used to change the characters' abilities independently. One thing I want to compliment is that the music also changes depending on what time of day it is. Other than that, you are able to explore more by using a ship and boat. This makes the game exploration much more in-depth than the previous game.

With that being said, I can proudly say that if you have played the previous game, you will probably really like this one too! 9.5/10, highly recommended!

P.S. All of the achievements are much fairer to achieve. So go for the 100% completion if you want!
