A great platformer and time trial experience. Controls and movement can take a little getting used to at first as you generate almost all of your speed from your grapple and controlled bursts with your boost. However, once you get the hang of it, movement is super fluid and responsive. While the game's level design and built in ghost data is a serviceable way of picking up on the usefulness of some mechanics, the replay and online ghost system will be your best friend in really learning the game. As the leader board saves all input and replay data from every player's best run. It even shows you visually what and when the player executes their inputs to give you an idea of how to follow up. This paired with an extremely welcoming discord has created one of the best learning environments for an otherwise precision heavy game that I've personally seen.

The game is divided into four acts, each with their own themes and challenges. Each harder than the last, with less room for error. Although the levels can be difficult at times, most are usually pretty manageable once you get their rhythm down, and beating the ghost is always a satisfying goal if beating other players' times isn't your preference. Its marathon mode will really put your consistency to the test and the global domination rating is good way to gauge your overall skill. Although it takes a good while to do this accurately as it factors in level averages for stages you may not have beaten yet.

All in all, a solid and rewarding platformer.

I pressed E to enter the snowmobile 60 meters from my objective and was teleported a kilometer in the wrong direction. 10/10.
