Early Access Review
Eden Crafters plays like a mix of Planet Crafter and Satisfactory, drawing inspiration from both. Its main focuses are automation, base building, crafting, exploration and terraforming. While not perfect, it has the same potential as other games I’ve played that became some of my favourites.

📝 Main Pros, Cons, and Suggestions:

🟩 Pros:

+ Co-op
+ Resource warehouses
+ Multiple planets, with more planned
+ The tutorial is a welcome addition to the genre
+ Drone to collect resources in hard to reach places

🟥 Cons:

- No map
- Buildings don’t clip to each other
- The oxygen mechanic could annoy some
- Lack of guidance for new buildings and tiers
- Doesn’t bring anything new, that’s notable, to the genre, nor does it do anything better than others

🏷️ Suggestions:

~ AI Lifeforms
~ Building radius
~ Planet analysis tool
~ Power toggle for buildings
~ Add a story with milestone goals
~ Splitters and mergers with filters
~ Copy / paste existing buildings (including their outputs)
~ View hologram of buildings and allow for micro-adjustments before confirming placement (for those with OCD / perfectionists)

I Wonder if Flat Earths Think Echo Prime is Flat

Eden Crafters (EC) is an example of early access done right. Featuring an ambitious vision, clear roadmap, communicative dev, and meaningful updates, it presents as an enjoyable experience overall. Playing similarly to other established titles, for the price, I highly recommend it to those who enjoy the genre.

EC combines the terraforming of Planet Crafters and the automation of Satisfactory to create a focused, streamlined experience. Like others in the genre, you begin by manually mining and processing resources into buildings and components before unlocking automation. The opening hours may feel slow, but once automation is unlocked, progression and enjoyment increase significantly.

Ultimately, EC is a relaxing experience focused on exploration and terraforming, with automation, base building, and crafting being implemented to a sufficient, albeit improvable degree. While rough around the edges, being in EA, this is expected. Try the demo today!

Thank you - I genuinely do appreciate it :3

That's fair, and you're entitled to do your review however you wish. I'm stating -my- opinion, I can't take it seriously. In my OPINION, as a reviewer, you should be making your thoughts after reaching the end game, not one hour in. Imagine the early game is as you describe, but the end game is completely different. It can be misleading.

Besides, it really just feels like you nabbed what most people said, made a summary, and called it a day. I like the formatting, and it was a good read, but It lacks substance backed by actually playing the game. Just my two cents.

TL;DR: Decent review, but lacks actual gametime to back it up. My opinion.

Is it not possible for one to form an opinion so soon? Play the game. Try the demo.

It's exactly as written - It's rough around the edges. Personally, I'd rather not burn out early as I know I wont return to it if I do so. Rather, I will wait for updates to arrive to correct some of my gripes.

Even if this review is well written, and I for one like the formatting, I cannot take it seriously with 1 hour of playtime. Even if you played the demo, why are you dishing out a review with barely any playtime? :cozyspaceengineersa:

To an extent, yes, but nothing worth mentioning (for me at least). Once you play, let me know if you'd like a co-op buddy!

Very nice. I plan to start playing this probably next month. One thing I was curious about is if there is a story/endgame at the moment.
