that's Counter damage, and I already admited it was to high on my opinion. it's why I never two-hit combo with katana (I usually never two-hit combo with any weapons, but espectially with Katana).
I dont consider Damage to be the real problem in a weapons, because, if you're going to fight against a friend, or any good player, he probably wont try to get extremly high damage out of his weapons, so however he's using CB or Longsword, you wont be disturbed by the damage (mostly), but when it come to moveset, here you cant do ♥♥♥♥ about it, if its OP, it is OP, the player cant change his moveset, he may can change the way he play with it (like I did with spear, never two hit combo, only play unlock, and never use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hitbox to get opponement who roll past/toward me), but you'll want to use the weapons properly, so it's pretty hard to ask someone to just "play differently" than just lower his AR to get decent sparing.

When you fight against longsword you can do many mistakes - just because longsword don't do much damage.
When you fight against CB - you can mistake ONCE. Because second mistake kill you. Catch enemy in attack animation and hit for 1100 hp with two strikes.
So don't tell me about CB, ok? =)

the power attack is great I admit, but bewitched/WP have it too, and it make the powerstance practicable, because the regular katana 2h PW is useless.
I never have trouble against CB user, except thoses Dark infused/buffed one who 3shoot you, but I dont consider buff part of the wpn meta, because I dont consider player who rely on high AR grant by buff/inf to be valuable opponement, so for me they dont even exist.
And seriously, I never meet anyone capable to stand me/make me sweat with a powerstanced katana playstyle, ever (I wish I had, I'll love that!)
