Thank you Blizzard for not making the Battle Pass completely Dokiwatch themed as I would have downvoted this asap.

Yea you read that right, despite the heavy promotion from Blizzard, the Battle Pass only has a few things tied to the new Dokiwatch theme, most of the other items are shop stuff, there are a few in the Battle Pass, but if you want some of the ones like Widomaker's or Mercy's, rip out your wallet and look into the shop when they show up.

So before we start with the actual Battle Pass, the Ultimate Pass comes with one Dokiwatch Skin and a different themed skin, the first one is Dokiwatch Freja, it... exists... I'm not a fan of the Dokiwatch Stuff like at all which I'll explain why later because I think I can offer a unique perspective on them.
The other one is so much better, a new skin theme of Demon Musicians, with Illari getting an awesome skin, I love this one, it's so different from her usual skins, and I LOVE the keyboard/piano with her weapon, seriously it's so good, and easily one of my favourite Ultimate Battle Pass Skins, up there with Lilith Moria (not as good obviously you can't beat mother) and Talon Rein.

So the Battle Pass is a combo of Dokiwatch, the Demon Musicians and references to Anime as a whole, weebs will throw their arms up in joy with fun references to Sailor Moon and more!

Firstly the Dokiwatch Skins, they belong to Brigitte... and nobody else... and it's not good... ok I don't like the Dokiwatch stuff at all, if you like them at all, good for you! It's always nice to see something being liked even if it's not to your taste, but to me Dokiwatch just feels like Cooperate Cosplay Slop or worse Cooperate Gooner Slop, nothing more but to sell skins and encourage girls or feminine guys to dress up as their favourites to promote them, while the other group spends time... "exercising when inspecting them online"... yea I really don't like these types of skins, I always feel like I'm being targeted to buy these types of skins, as someone who is Gynosexual normally I would be attracted to these types of things, but these skins just feel so Cooperate and Soulless compared to other skins that fit into those cosplay/gooner categories I have to hate them.
Like compare most Dokiwatch skins to Ashe's Poolside Skin, Ashe looks pretty in the skin, yes it shows more of her skin, but you got the bracelets, the arm floats, the patterns on her orange skirt, bright red top, sunglasses and hat, but most importantly it's still Ashe, she still looks freaking cool and you can imagine/see her actually rocking this look while on a holiday! VS "Hey look, it's X character in a NEW Y CUTE/S*XY DRESS with nothing else or any thought made with it!!! BUY BUY BUY BUY BUY!" while also with Dokiwatch for a good chunk of characters, the theme doesn't work for the character or doesn't work for the game and just looks out of place.
Brigitte looks like an entirely different character, like where is her armour? Did she eat it? Is she stupid? At least with her cardboard armour there's still something there! Freja looks wildly out of place given her context in lore and who she is, Widowmaker (who isn't in the pass) suffers with the same issue, Mercy (again not in pass) reminds me of when she and Ashe got their LE SSERAFIM skins and people started asking "who invited the grandmas to the K-Pop Event" memes/***posts.[x.com]
At least the others I haven't mentioned do fit, speaking of ones I haven't mentioned, Juno! Juno's Mythic is easily the best Dokiwatch skin, it suites her, it's very pretty, and has really good VFX and Sound Effects, overall one of the better mythic we have had in a while, I'll use it but I'll be going back to her other options soon like the recently released Ember Skin.

The Demon Musicians are peak, I love these skins to bits Lifeweaver while more basic is awesome looking, Ashe's looks awesome as well, again basic but really cool!

The new Mauga ski... WAIT MAUGA SKIN!? MAUGA CONTENT SPOTTED! WE'RE WINNING MAUGANATION! WE GOT CONTENT! GO GET DRINKS, I'LL GET THE FIREWORKS READY, WE FINALLY GOT ANOTHER SKIN!
Ok but on a serious note it's a fantastic skin, Mauga looks freaking awesome and long overdue as we needed a demon skin for our favourite Samoan since like launch due to his antics and voicelines, it's amazing 11/10, Battle Pass is worth it for this alone... yes I am the Mauga guy from past Battle Pass Reviews on steam if you have forgotten, hello nice to see you again if you remember :) (also his victory pose is a 12/10 I love it)

The final Anime Skins include a Royal Prince Genji Skin, Venture rocking a Tuxedo Mask look, and whatever Tracer and Moria are supposed to be (I think Tracer falls under Dokiwatch but it got next to no promotion with the others so it might be something else.)

And lastly 1000 Extra Credits.

This Battle Pass is a lot better then I expected, The Demon Musicians make this a top contender for me, the anime stuff is great, and the few Dokiwatch stuff I've seen in this... I've said enough about them... erm... I got nothing funny or serious to say either... erm, idk I guess watch this because it entertains me more then the entire Dokiwatch Theme.
Overall as always, look for yourself ingame and see what you think before making your final choice.

Me knowing I probably really annoyed some people calling the hyped Dokiwatch Theme Cooperate Gooner/Cosplay Sloop and made fun of it and knowing I might get targeted by certain players if I encounter them ingame (lol funny)

Update

Just some extra thoughts I'd throw into there.

Some of you might be wondering why Dokiwatch is getting such a massive focus in this review despite not being apart of the pass much, and it's simple, Blizzard hyped this up in a way how Ultrawatch was from a few seasons ago, where a majority of the content was infact in the pass, and I could imagine a lot of people were excited for it, and I wanted to make a point to not only give you or anyone else a heads up to save on money if they wanted a certain Dokiwatch skin, but also share my thoughts overall on Dokiwatch.

The only feedback I could provide is that despite my jokes on Mercy, the only ones I truly have issues having a Dokiwatch skin is Widow and Freja, I would rather see Illari, Sombra or Pharah get the Dokiwatch skins instead, while on the surface it might look odd, if Brig can lose a bunch of armour for her's so can Pharah, while the other 2 I can imagine them being super into Dokiwatch style stuff with the other stuff we seen them like, like Illari with her Llama stuff and... well Sombra is a nerd... she likes to hack stuff... so yea she'll be a weeb too no doubt about that.
Widow and Freja could work as antagonists to Dokiwatch however, kinda like Moria has in her skin in the pass, rather being on the main crew with Juno and the others.

But it still doesn't fix my main issue that it feels like cooperate cosplay/gooner slop, like again with what I said with Poolside Ashe, I can tell whoever made this concept put A LOT of thought into it, a lot of care, and everything to ensure it's a great skin for everyone.
Dokiwatch to me looks like the result of a Blizzard/Microsoft Executive scrolling on Twitter/TikTok/Reddit/whatever for 10 mins and seeing everyone cosplay/goon and go "WE NEED MORE OF THIS, BUT WHAT!?" And randomly see some hip new magical girl anime clip go semi-viral and go "PERFECT, GET THE SKIN TEAM ON THE PHONE! WE GOT OUR NEXT SKIN THEME!"

What a complete surprise this Mythic weapon is, I didn't expect to like this weapon no where as much as I currently do, as someone who barely plays WIdow compared to... well nearly the entire cast (Snipers in FPS Games outside of horde/arcade shooters aren't my thing), I have to say, as of right now, this is the best Mythic weapon in the game right now, when I read sometime ago that Widomaker was going to get this season's mythic weapon, I just rolled my eyes, with the last 2 being overall mediocre, and were terrible with comboing with the majority of skins due to their strict theming, I just expected the same for Widow's, but amazingly no, unlike Soldier's and Ashe's which are themed on Oni and Rose's respectfully, this Widow skin appears to be based on herself currently! Not her past and roses with Ashe’s or whatever Rein’s or Soldier’s random themes, actually herself! The character!
This Mythic Weapon feels like a weapon Widowmaker would use herself, like a brand new upgrade Talon scientists have given her, and she would take this alongside her for every future mission, and it looks sick, I love the firing sounds, the effects are great, I love the Flourish (your Ana now has a friend to mindlessly spin their equipment with) it's just overall a great weapon, the only thing I don't like is the reload animation, it's the same one as WIdow's Default, however instead of a magazine, it's a crystal which reminds of certain characters in Paladins doing the same thing, but it's not as good as in that game (also RIP Paladins, thank you for all the fun)
However speaking of the reload, one complaint I have with Widowmaker overall is her reload sounds, I hate them, anyone else have this? I really don't like how "muted" they sound compared to other reloads, it always bothers me, but this Mythic fixes it! It sounds like a reload, and not this odd sorta muted noise, GAH I hate it! I'm keeping this weapon glued onto Widow forever now!

As well, unlike her Mythic Skin's Weapon which I complained being too audibly and visually noisy in my Season 13 Battle Pass Review (and I just ended up flatout skipping it and using my prisms on the new glided colours for other mythics), this Mythic Skin is perfect, it hits the perfect balance, it's enough to keep me happy, without being too distracting.

I have to say imo, this Mythic Weapon is the best in the game right now, I'll start playing Widow more often thanks to this weapon, and it gives me high hopes for more future character themed Mythic Weapons, because I can see these being used, selling a lot more better and overall seeing a lot more praise from the playerbase, VS some random theme slapped onto a character because "why not" or "it fits the time of year" like with Soldier's Mythic Weapon that doesn't suit him at all and only matches with like 2 skins.
Don't get me wrong I like the other Mythics, but if any of you remember my past reviews from the other Weapon Mythics, my biggest complaints for all of them except Ana's and this one, all the time are due to their strict theming and not comboing well with most skins... and the price too... yeah £34.99 is a lot, but buying this pack + getting 20 levels for that price now is a lot better then buying prisms later if you missed this pack.
Before making any purchase, as always I suggest looking at yourself ingame and trying it out in the Hero Gallery, I really like this one a lot, and I hope it inspires Blizzard to do more skins like these, based on the characters, not some random thing that only fits 3 skins.

UPDATE 20/03/2024

Something I should have made a bit more clear in my original review above is that since the gun is based on Widow herself rather than some other theme, and mentioning it comboing well with other skins, I think I undersold how good this weapon does at comboing, it can match with basically every single Widomaker skin, except maybe for ones that change her skin tone from light blue to whatever, or change her main colours drastically but even then the weapon skin still looks fantastic, like Scorpian, Saint-Tropez and some of Spellbinder's combos for example, but even then like I said the weapon still works really dam well with those types of skins.
I got a bunch of Widomaker skins over my time in OW2 from Battle Passes, Events, Drops, Lootboxes and Bundles, and this weapon mixes and matches with all of them fantastically, some personal favourites mixing well with this weapon are her defaults, Talon, Endless Sight, Spider, Black Lily and Wild Tracker, seriously it does an amazing job mixing and matching.

10/10, this should be the gold standard for Mythic Weapons from now on, based on the character, be able to mix and match with as much skins as possible, not some random theme that only works with 2-3 skins with some of those skins being no longer obtainable due to Old Battle Passes or long gone events.

Another Season, another Battle Pass, and this one is... ok... the skins are either really good, or just basic and lackluster, but before we start, let's talk about the ultimate bundle's contents.

First is a Kiriko skin! I am very happy to share another indepth detailed review like I did with Mercy's skin from Season 14's Ultimate Pass! Since it was quite popular last time, I sure hope you enjoy this new totally indepth and detailed review of the skin!
Second is a Doomfist skin! This skin fits the Toxic theme with a bundle of skins, one in the Pass, and another 2 currently on their way into the shops later in the coming weeks! Alongside Reaper's Hazard Skin and Roadhog's Toxic Skin, It's the weakest one of the bunch, but it's still pretty cool!

As usual you skip some levels in the Pass and get some coins for any extra goodies you want in the shop!

Right now for the Pass, the theme is... a mess... you get stuff relating to Chinese Mythology which is cool, the Toxic Theme which is cool, and of all things... a... rainy day skin collection?... huh?...

The standouts are Venture's (YES YOU READ THAT RIGHT, F*****G VENTURE) awesome toxic skin, giving them a drastic redesign, Orisia's awesome Chinese skin, Zarya's new legendary which looks pretty cool too! And Torb's freebie skin which I really like! As for the rest... they range from ok to outclassed.
For example Kiriko's new Raincoat skin, ya know, THE CHARACTER WHO GETS ANOTHER SKIN WITH THE ULTIMATE PASS!? But ignoring that little fact, I can't see the skin being used much outside of this Season, it's ok but Kiriko has like 3742383419482 better skins.
Hanzo's skin reminds me of the numerous Battle Pass SIgma skins, no one will use it outside of players who have no other options because it's meh.
Lucio's skin will easily be one of the most forgotten skins in the game when the Season is over, I am not joking, it's so boring that the ugly Red Octopus skin is better.
Mei gets ANOTHER Battle Pass skin... if you want a better skin for her, as of writing this review, there's Twitch Drops going on, get her Raincoat Skin for free, the Battle Pass skin is just meh.

Overall 4 really good, 4 not so good, but as always look ingame yourself to see what you think.

This Season's Mythic is for Zen, based on the Chinese Myth Creature called a Pixiu... I mean he looks nothing like one, but the skin has some nice effects, I like the voice filter, it has decent customisation, overall it's ok, I like it, but it's a Mythic Skin I can't imagine people will go crazy for like with past ones, it's inoffensive and is overall alright, I'll use once and a while myself, but will happily go back to Aang, Z3N and Bathmaster soon, they're just way better imo.

Overall this Battle Pass is ok, the only things I would improve upon is ditch the Rainy Day Content and put in more Toxic or Chinese Content inside to make it more unified with it's theming, the content it gets right it does great, the rest... not so much, so in my opinion, this Battle Pass is just ok, we have had a lot better in the past.

Also the Battle Pass comes with 2 Reskin Lion Dance Highlight Intros lmao

Huge improvement over the last character pack.

Cracker's new look is pretty cool, not much to say, if you're a Cracker fan and want a new look, here it is!

The new primary is a slow firing but hard hitting Assault Rifle, looks great and can be customised too! I really like it!

The new secondary SMG again looks really cool, it's DPS and mag size are perfect, and is unique in the fact it's silenced! One of the few in the game! And it can be customised too!

The Tomahawk is a pretty good melee, nothing special to say.

The RPG I won't iie is very outclassed, there's only 1 situation I will take this over anything else, and that's in Operation Cold Strike to get some early quick damage on the enemy tank, but that doesn't mean it's a fun equipment item to use outside of that, just be careful not to kill any civilians to ruin any objectives!
*Update* Ok so after playing with it a bit more, it is a lot better then I once thought, it can help out a lot taking out vehicles and Dollar Dragon's Chopper, as well as a big burst of damage in crowded rooms, but again in a lot of situations I can imagine other equipment being better, especially if you wanna be careful of keeping a job clean for the bonus.

The 2 new perks are awesome, and aren't OP like the last pack's!
The first one SAS Instincts reveals enemies when aiming down sights, perfect for stealth and sniper/DMR builds for when enemies get a bit too close!
The second is Close Combat healing you for each melee kill you get, very fun, try this out with Jupiter's Knuckle Duster and Adrenaline Equipment from her character pack for some real overkill!

Overall a fantastic character pack, cannot recommend it enough.

Season 14's Battle Pass has a lot improvements from the last few, but before I start that, let's talk about the Ultimate Bundle's Contents.

Here is my highly indepth video review of the Mercy Skin, as a proud Gynosexual Male, I feel like this skin was geared towards my taste just as much as the normal straight male, lesbian players and the rest, so I assure you, I take my review and taste very seriously, it took me 15 hours to write the script and record review, and I hope you enjoy it. [x.com]

Dragon Hunter Pharah is a skin that exists 👍

20 Tier Skips and 2000 coins as normal.

Now for the Battle Pass, it's main them is based around Winter and Norse Mythology, with the highlights being a Sigma Odin Themed Skin, Sojourn's casual skin from her animated short and a victory pose featuring her dog Murphy, a free Ice Giant Junker Queen Skin, a brand new mob boss themed skin, emote, voicelines and highlight intro for the brand new hero Hazard (live Venture Main Reaction) along with a Moira skin that fits the same theme, and the pretty cool Lifeweaver and Mei Skins.
All of these skins are pretty good, my only complaints is that excluding Moira, Lifeweaver and obviously Hazard, all the other characters all got a Battle Pass Skin recently, with Sigma being featured in the last 3, Junker Queen in Season 13's along with Mei and Sojourn with those 3 also getting another skin not too long before in another Battle Pass.
Like come on Blizzard, there's 42 Heroes, can you pick someone else other than the same 4 for the Battle Pass skins?

Speaking of skins, while I am SUPER HAPPY Mauga got content in this Battle Pass with a fantastic Emote, an avatar and Nametag, the skin it's for ISN'T in the Battle Pass??? Why!? You have to buy it separately! And it is such a shame because if it was in, this Battle Pass would be an instant 11/10, but oh well, Mauga getting content for once instead of characters who have a billion things every 3 seconds is a nice change.

Speaking of characters who have a billion things getting something every 3 seconds, Rein's new Mythic! While I was super disappointed at first because REIN DOESN'T NEED STUFF! HE MAKES KIRIKO'S FAVOURITISM LOOK TAME SOMETIMES! But when I saw the higher level up forms, that's when the skin won me over.
Instead of just being based on Thor, at level 4 you unlock particle effects, giving you thunder, ice and fire, giving you the appearance of a Jötunn in Norse Mythology, judging by my username and avatar, you can tell which one is my favourite, and yes that combo goes amazing with Rein's Mythic Weapon.
The skin looks great, effects are awesome, voicelines are cool, only complaint is that the skin's name should have been Norse Legend to celebrate the Jötunns and not just Thor, but it's a small complaint.

Overall this is probably my favourite Pass since Season 10's Mirrorwatch, but it doesn't pass it, if different characters got skins, then it would easily be better, I love the themes, by come on Blizzard, 42 Heroes, pick some other characters.

Also I need to mention the Juno and Kiriko Voicelines... whoever decided to write them and force their voice actresses to say them... and before you ask "What are you talking about?" YOU KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT!
Least Hazard's "Woof Woof" voiceline works because he loves his dogs...WAIT NO, NOT IN THAT WAY YOU SICK ****!

As always, I highly suggest you look at the Battle Pass yourself before buying, for me it's good despite my main issues, and I'll be using everything inside this Battle Pass quite often.

A cheap and simple character pack that packs a huge punch!

The Mossberg Shotgun with undermounted Grenade Launcher is awesome, does solid damage with both firing modes, can easily clear rooms, I only got 1 complaint, and that's it can't be customised unlike the other ranged weapon, meaning if you want to use this without Jupiter, it can look out of place on certain characters such as Baker.
Update
As of Update 15, you can now customise the gun to wear whatever skin you want, while it's old custom skin can now be used separately on other guns, this is an amazing QoL change, thank you INGAME Studios.

The Perun is a magazine fed revolver that hurts your head the more you look at how it works, but it's again a very solid gun, good damage, good ammo and with 20 shots, it will cause some good punishment to law enforcement and rivals who challenge it!

Some Knuckle Dusters are added alongside this pack, they're alright, but nothing special outside the equipment.

The Mule Perk... ok I'm going to say it, this is one of the best perks in the game, and I am not a fan that it's tied to a pack, the ability to move 3 bags, have extra movement speed, use your primary weapon AND use the Mule Equipment so you can carry 4 is kinda bonkers, tbh that + with Mule Equipment is overkill but still, 3/4 bags is crazy.

Adrenaline Equipment is very solid for those spots where you know you're going to take heavy fire, but are able to to tank it with your weaponry doing damage back, I can see higher difficulty players liking this.

While I don't play Jupiter myself (I am forever a Baker main) her new appearance is pretty cool and her as a character outside of a boss is a solid character.

Overall great pack, totally worth the money.

Marvel Rivals is fun at first, however as time went on, I started to enjoy this game less and less for 3 major reasons.

Firstly the game feels like it's having an identity crisis, it feels like the game or the devs don't know if the game should be a slow paced third person shooter, or a super fast paced flying across the map third person shooter, with characters leaning into either playstyle, with very little counterplay to help deal with it.
Prime example is Spider-Man, with enough practice, you can literally zoom across the map, get important picks, and get out before anyone else even realises or has anytime to react, there are characters that can "slow him down" like Namor, but even then it's like a fence post being hit by a car, like yea the car will slow down a bit but it's still speeding towards the next thing it's gonna hit.
Even in other games where there's dive characters like Spider-Man or comps like in Overwatch, Paladins or whatever, you have a lot more power and control to deal with them, with direct counters, items or builds, weapons or even the map, while in Rivals this barely exists, the closest you got is Namor and Scarlet Witch but even then they get steamrolled by Spider-Man when he sees an opening for half a second. It feels like I'm playing GTA IV with how slow it feels and it turns into a high level Quake/Open Fortress match with bhopping, launchers and stuff out of nowhere.

Second is the community, this community is the most clueless spoiled bratty community I have ever seen, the support strike that is going on as of this rewrite is just laughable, most Supports do their jobs just fine, the ones crying their eyes out however do nothing but healbot ONE vanguard/tank and other supports with their top tier tunnel vision, I have had plenty of games where supports just flat out refuse to help and just focus on the tank and other support, while the rest of the team gets 0 healing, 0 space made, nothing, and yet they're the bad guys for actually trying to do something VS the supports who never helped them out once.
I even went Rocket Raccoon one time to prove a point, I healed myself and the other 2 teammates for about 5 minutes, WE HALTED THE ENEMY PUSH! We still lost, but it proved all we needed was just a tiny bit of healing too, not ignored constantly while the "Pro Competitive One Above All wannabe" Mantis and Invisible Woman healed the Magneto that might as well been AFK, because the enemy team did this thing called walking around him.
The people advocating these strikes are the problem, no one else, I wouldn’t be apart of it if I still played despite me enjoying supports such as Jeff, Rocket and Mantis, my friends wouldn’t, and neither would be the majority of most support players I played with too, this isn’t a support strike, it’s a ****head strike, bad players not getting everything they want and blaming it on everyone else instead of getting better at the game, and since they love circlejerking each other because clearly it’s everyone’s fault, not theirs, it’s now escalated to one of the most laughable things I’ve seen in years.

Third is polish, while graphics wise the game looks amazing, everything else however... doesn't, it's hard to explain if you don't have much experience with numerous games, the best way I can describe it is that certain things you expect to do just don't work they would in other games, like certain mobility abilities, or tech you might use in other games, and it makes the game feel very sluggish in comparison.
A good example is with Overwatch, regardless of what you think of the game, you can do nearly everything you want to do in that game flawlessly, it's smooth as butter, you can pull some amazing plays with ease and more, this goes the same for other games like Team Fortress 2, Paladins, Super Monday Night Combat when that was alive and a lot more.
Rivals in comparison at worst feels like I'm dragging myself to do certain tasks, or worse fall completely flat on my face because the game lacks certain things to make it flow properly.

Rivals can have it's moments, but it gets repetitive and unfun quite fast due to the above reasons.

The weapon is... ok... but it has the same problem as Rein's Mythic, and many other weapon skins where the skin barely combos well with anything outside of 1 or 2 skins, making it standout way too much on it's own, the gun does look good, the sound effects are nice, HUD elements are good, flourish is ok, but the lack of combos you can make with this gives it the thumbs down from me.
Least with Ana's it can combo well with her Mythic, Ultra Watch, Bastet and some others, Rein's with his Bloodhardt and Demon Lord skins, while Soldier's can only mesh well with Survivor 76, but even then it doesn't fit that well since it appears it's supposed to be corrupted by an Oni, rather than by Cthulhu/Eldritch Horrors, it doesn't fit with anything else at all as of the moment.

I know this might not bother some players, but I don't like mixing and matching things unless they fit a theme or I'm doing a funny meme look, which this weapon skin doesn't achieve either of these, so it's a thumbs down, if it was like Ana's where there were more skins that could work with it, then I could give it a thumbs up, but as of now, no, even then compared to the other mythic's effects and flourishes, this one is outclassed.

If you really want the Mythic Weapon Bundle, either grab it now with this pack, or wait for you to get enough prisms from the Battle Pass or giveaways like the recent Xbox Pass one to get it, don't buy prisms directly, they're way too ****ing much money for any skin.

*UPDATE 27/11/2024*
Ok so this weapon actually combos with Soldier 76's new Zombie Grillmaster Recolour Skin pretty well, besides the colours matching with the apron like with the original Grillmaster Skin, with him being undead, it's like now the gun is possessing Soldier to fight once more, I actually really like rocking these 2, I think I found my new main loadout!
Do I still not recommend the gun? Yes it’s still a thumbs down for me, other then the Zombie Skin and the aforementioned Survivor 76, nothing else fits with the gun and sticks out like the sore thumb.

There are 2 types of people who bought this starter pack.

First are the people who just wanted the 1000 OW2 Coins, and got a freebie for a character they don't really play.

Second are the people who genuinely wanted this skin, despite Sombra being gutted by a recent "rework"

It is a good skin however, memes aside I will use this in the odd chance I do play her.
