Awful control system with even worse rebinding makes this practically unplayable.

Mouse input feels floaty and delayed.

Early Access Review
It's a very fun game. I played a full campaign solo (it took me a little under 2 hours) and it's been a solid experience. I'm happy to see that this game is 100% playable solo without any issues.

I really enjoy the gunplay. Guns feel and sound great and have nice animations. Movement feels solid, I love that the game allows sprint reloading. (It needs a hold to sprint reload option since I dislike sprint toggle only)

The campaign idea is interesting (you choose a mission and extract when it's complete, then you get to refresh and change your loadout before you plan your next mission), and the 4 maps are good, though I hope a few more will come. There's a nice variety in the missions and objectives as well.

I'm not a fan of the bullet sponge enemy at the end of the campaign, it felt very stupid to shoot a single enemy 100+ times. I'm sure the devs can come up with something better or scale it more for solo.

The game received a DX12 update and runs very well for me using DLSS on balanced (3090 / 9800X3D / 32GB pushing 230+ frames on average at 1080p).

All in all, it's an enjoyable game so far. I'm eager to see where the devs take it in the Early Access period.

The game looks and runs fantastic. The environments of Ferra are beautiful, and the story is enjoyable. There are some short fights, light puzzle solving and action sequences where you have to climb quickly under pressure. The game has nice variety and good pacing.

Climbing feels very good and responsive (and gladly so because there is a LOT of it). You keep unlocking more and more upgrades that allow you to traverse Ferra more efficiently and in different ways.

Combat is decent enough. It's simple but effective. The game does have a few too many sliding doors which get kind of repetitive. Climbing the moving/turning totems was bad VR design and made me extremely nauseous, even though I never had issues with that before.

Whatever technical issues this game launched with are mostly fixed now. I did have one bug that was resolved by using chapter select. Other than that, it played perfectly on my Quest 3 connected via Virtual Desktop.

All in all, I would say Reach is definitely worth a purchase.

The best roguelite FPS. Great gunplay and plenty of fun builds to try.

Too bad certain enemies are extremely unfun in their design. The devs could also balance Nightmare a bit more.

How a remaster should be done. And releasing the game on the same day as its reveal is really cool. Too bad you had to change Male/Female to Body Type 1/2. Very lame.

It could be a pretty fun game, but the combat is terrible. The game is plagued with the same problem Saints and Sinners was plagued with: floaty, janky/clumsy combat. Swinging weapons feels like you are swinging a metal bar with noodle arms.

For all VR developers: Stop adding floaty weight mechanics in VR games. It feels awful.

The best co-op shooter ever made. This game is the gold standard in the co-op shooter genre.
