Early Access Review
Besiege is a bit different to the other games that I have played, but nevertheless it can be very interesting and allows you be highly imaginative in order to bring destruction to the medieval-style sites. Starting up Besige, you are presented with a map of the world that allows you to select a location and level to attemt. Once in the selected level, you will see the enemy structure that you will attempt to destory in order to complete the level and move on to a new, and slightly more challenging one.
In the editing phase of the level, on screen you will see a number of options and menus that enable to build your creation, fine tune the details, customise it, remove or place parts, view it from various angles and so forth. After that you are able to try out what you have build and see how it interacts with the various objects in the map.
What you see in your mind and believe will work will not always do so in the game, sometimes even breaking apart before you even have the chance to move it about. The amout of control and the capabilites of your machine lies entirely with you, so if you decide to place metal armour or heavy artilery on it, then it will act accordingly. Sometimes even the smallest things that you didn't oversee during the construction phase will send you back to be fixed. The amout of tools in the game allows you to be able to expreiment with various combinations of defensive or offensive building materials. It can be as simple as building a medieval-style cannon or a fully fledged machine.

Got this during a sale and enjoying it so far, the gameplay is nice, you mostly have to use the mouse during the game to move around and clear obstacles, overall a very good game.
