Wanna win? Just build snow. Oh the sacrifice system seems cool? Well build snow. Oh Junk seems like a fun mechanic? It could've been but build Snow instead.

I've seen ppl compare this to slay the spire but no, it's not. In StS I have 4 characters that have multiple ways to be built and win the game with. This game is not that. You will build snow and you'll like it.

Being a hard game doesn't bother me. I have 100+ hours in rogues that I haven't even beaten. However when you create a method which is obviously the "correct" method, it just becomes boring. I wish I could say I'll see how it is in a few months but like, it's not in early access. I don't expect more than Snow path to be the correct path.

I'll probably come back to it from time to time but it will be no Slay the Spire or Monster Train for me.

Look, this game is okay but don't look for a completed game with this. Nor expect an actual early access type game.
The devs have gone silent for over a year with any major patches and the last small patch was July 23 2021.
If you have some friends and you've played all the co-op rougelite/likes that are more well known, then go ahead and play it. They had some really interesting ideas and the style is nice.

I just wish they kept moving forward with it :(
If anything does change I'll change my reviews. The Devs haven't released anything else so I'm just hoping that this is just a sad story of Devs having to stop due to money issues instead of them just washing their hands clean of it because they released it on other systems.

Note: I played this game after playing Dark Fall: Lost Souls, which I'm sure is effecting my feel of the game.

It's a fun and challenging point n' click puzzle game. But the story for me kind of lacked anything interesting. It was more of a "Oh cool more x character background!" Then I was like "What is going on??" I also never really felt like the puzzles were rewarding. Mainly a decoding part were I wasted time decoding the whole message just to be like "Welp I already know this." The story, though for me was lacking, did a good job presenting itself at least. It is a pretty game for a 2002 game.
Finally, just because it says "Horror-adventure" in it's about I have to say, it's not that scary at all. And this is coming from someone who refuses to have a TV in their room at night and hates being in a dark room. I was waiting for something thinking 'well it said horror', but other then some moans, random chatter, and the annoying phone...nothing really screamed horror even to me.

Also, if you don't like writing stuff down and keeping track of things then this game is so not for you. Almost anything you do needs to be remembered (Therefore written down if you aren't the best at remembering words and what not.) I also felt the ending a bit lacking but I won't get into why because I don't wanna spoil anything.

Over all, I just didn't find this game enjoyable enough to recommend it. And if you really wanna get it, I would suggest waiting til a 50+% discount...

First off, only get this game on sale. Even though I recommend it, I don't for $13. It's more of a under $5 game. Also if you are looking for a really creepy game that keeps you on your toes, and/or have balls of steel, then this game might not be for you. This game has a few good jump scares but for the most part you end up losing the fear until the jump scare puts you back into it. And if you are pretty comfy with most horror games then the jump scares will make you jump a bit then be like "Meh." Finally, if you want a 'simple' game that is easy to play, then this isn't for you either. The puzzles are hard and for most of the game me and my friend had a guide we would go to every time we couldn't figure what to do.

With all the said, Me and my friend enjoyed the game. The surroundings were spooking, the story was interesting. Hell the main reason we didn't want to stop was because we wanted to figure things out. Why was he there? What were those statue? The Voice acting is pretty bad though, I remember asking my friend if they just pulled some guy off the coding crew to voice the main character. I think that might be my biggest complaint, that the voice acting was horrible. It really pulled you out of the game whenever they spoke, especially the main character. But I've dealt with worse.

If you are easily creeped out and good at puzzle games, I recommend the game. If you are more into being chased and always having to be on your toes, then maybe you should go look somewhere else.
