This is an absolutely great game but thanks to my throbbing genius, the game is unplayable due to a few gameplay "balancing" mods i installed. now the enemies regenerate faster than i can hurt them and yeah, deleting the mods and reinstalling the game doesn't fix it. other than that it is a very good game with a great story.
in summary: be wary of what you smoke before going on to nexusmods

Using a program such as CClean should clean the registry (after uninstalling Witcher 2) and this should remove any gameconfig files etc. that may have been leftover
