Prrrrr. Prrrrrrrr.... PRRRRR!

So, this will actually be the first time I write a review of a game - and I do so because I feel this game is highly deserving of one <3

First off, I'm just going to come clean and confess that I am a cat-lover, I've had cats all the way since my.... character creation (I'm currently level 43, missing about 4 months of XP-grinding until I hit 44), and I currently have two adorable little fluffballs. Do I think it is necessary to love cats to like this game? No. But I recon it'll probably add a little extra emotional layer on top of an already amazing experience :)

Now then, what can you expect from this game?

Reading some of the other reviews posted here, I can't help but wonder where people get the idea that this is a big open-world game, or an intense and fast action game, or something along those lines. It's not. And it's not meant to be. It's a relatively linear story-driven experience, but it's beautifully crafted and executed. And even if it is somewhat linear, there's still plenty to snoop around for and discover, so it'll definitely please those of you who are curious cats by heart and like to poke around, just to see what you can find.

The graphics, art style, music, soundscape and atmosphere all blend perfectly into each other to create a feeling of both cuteness and eerie mystery, and this contrast works really well throughout the whole game. The puzzles aren't hard at all, but they still manage to make you feel satisfied when you solve them, and I feel like they've managed to keep the puzzle mechanics somewhat relevant to what a cat would actually be able to do (in a somewhat game-logic kinda way, if you know what I mean :D). All in all it's a very chill and relaxing game, but also at times contrasted by some fast-paced action sequences. And it has the cutest tutorial I have ever seen in a game: "Press B to meow". How can you not love that ;)

And the story? Well, it's fairly simple, but it still managed to get me hooked all the way through to the end, I really WANTED to see how everything turned out.

Overall I think this is a really great experience, and I hope the developers get all the praise they deserve for it so they can keep crafting beautiful little gems like this. And I'd absolutely LOVE to see some form of continuation of this game as well!

Final verdict: MEOW/10! Buy it!
