Quite distinct gameplay, much divorced from its predecessor Crusader Kings 2, but still quite satisfying and deep.

With the release of 1.9 the game has iterated in a way similar to Stellaris overhauls, which really revived the game by tieing your character to the world itself, allowing for much more immersive gameplay in how you decide to go about necessary travel.

This game has a bright future, and a solid experience currently. Game is worth its base price, but Paradox does massive sales consistently throughout the year, typically around major DLC releases (roughly around Feb, May, Aug, Oct), so I would say its worth checking around those times if you refuse to purchase a game on Steam at full price, like me.
