I loved R.E.P.O. when strength actually meant something when you could grab monsters, yeet them across the room or into the void, and play the way the game was clearly designed to be played. That’s what made it fun. That’s what made it different.

Now overcharge completely kills the core mechanic. Even in solo, you’re punished for using your upgrades. You level up, get stronger and the game says: Nope you can’t play like that anymore.

Even in co-op overcharge is unnecessary, what if I’m solo and surrounded? What if I need to throw something to survive? Too bad boom, overcharge.

Fix it make it scale with strength or much rather remove overcharge completely.

If you fix overcharge and bring back real strength progression, I’m all in.

If not, I’m out. I hope the devs see how the update ruins what made this game great in my opinion.

It can still be fun with friends up to level 10, but overcharged killed solo after level 10.
