Used to be a 9/10 game, now it's rotting corpse.

Now I have been a huge fan of TW franchise since original Rome and I've played every singel game since then
Total War: WARHAMMER possibly saved Total War franchise. It's release state was succes compared to some older TWs. Its fresh look brought back the glory that TW games once had.
But possibly the best thing about this game is that
EACH RACE HAS DIFFERENT GAMEPLAY MECHANICS.

Its campaign city buíding mechanics are slightly simplified, which you will enjoy sinice city building mechanics in Rome 2 or Attila are kind of boring, because of the stupid squalor mechanic which was somewhat realistic but it made city building boring. You often had to rebuild your cities to make sure that your squarlor doesn't overcome happines.

Battles are also slightly simplified, siege battles in non-walled cities no longer happen in city, rather in field, which is shame, because you could strategize more in those situations. However it makes the AI less confused.
In walled cities you can only attack from 2 directions, which may sound dumb, but it's actualy better. Now it's more about taking the walls which leads to epic battles, where you sometimes can get lost.

Legendary Heroes: This is great, fresh addition to the TW franchise. It makes the battles look even more epic and it adds RPG element to the game, also some quests and quest battles, which lead to special items for your hero. Yeah that's right you can now equip heroes with items, which you can find in campaign.

Units: Units are overall nicely done with completely diferent rosters and mechanics for each race. I miss bigger diference than just color between factions of the same race, but I found mód for that.

Now the most favourite topic: The AI
The AI is much better than in Rome 2 or Attila. At eleast the battle AI. Enemy units no longer stand with their backs to you and they do much less weird stuff like in previous games. (I remember this one battle in Attila where i had like 2/3 of an enemy's army and 8 out of my 13 units were archers and slingers in a siege battle and i was attacking. I was able to take them down just by standing and shooting enemy units which dropped their morale and i even made half of them withdraw. Also i flanked their archers with my cav and even managed to captre city center before they sent few units to take care of my cavalry. Then i hit them with my infantry when they were distracted and finished them off.)
I also remember some weird naval battles but naval battles are not in this game so it's not important. They also make reasonable stacks.
Campaign AI:
Slightly better than in Attila. Actualy tries to win by declaring war on you and attacking while you are under attack from other factions. However, thing which i don't like is those AI "cheats" for example the AI has lowered upkeeps and increased happines. Upkeeps are fine with me but happines makes chaos and vampire corruption boring, because you will rarely see rebelions in other factions than yours.
Diplomacy AI: They need to improve trading. AI won't trade even if it's beneficial for it.

Multiplayer: Co-op campaign is great.

Now biggest con and outrageous thing of this game comes with the dlc policy, which is as bad as EA's. The game was not even out and they already ripped Chaos Warriors and blood from the game and made it dlc. Since then came out about 4 overpriced dlcs also with few good free lcs.

Pros:
+unique gameplay for each race
+gameplay improvements
+Legendary Lords
+better AI
+i haven't noticed any major bugs so far
+battles
+co-op
+mods
+Free LCs

Cons
-small difference between factions of the same race
-campaign AI could be better
-no naval battles
-low variety of maps
-no battles in small cities
-OVERPRICED DLCs

Do I recomend: Yes, but buy it at Steam sale, at least those DLCs. We have to fight this kind of policy, because we keep getting less and less for the price and they keep ripping off stuff from the original game to charge extra money for it. This game is even good for a newcommer to this series, because of its easy to learn, hard to master, addictive gameplay.

One last thing I can't understand is why people underestimate this game without DLCs. It would still have good rating. Also i don't understand why this game has so bad rating compared to Rome 2 which is worse, buggy at release date, same DLC policy, bad AI, boring gameplay.
