You'll get 1 winter card per dollar spent on buying games during winter sales

Right now, the only way to get them is by crafting badges. When the sale starts in a week, more options are available.

You will get 1card for crafting a badge during the sale, and maybe a few days before the sale (somebody will write it here in the group for sure).
And you get 1 card for 10dollars or 10euros spent in the steam store, by buying games (not 1card for 1$, but 10)...
And there will be a wote i think for some games where you can get 10cards.
And you can get 1card every day by scrolling trough discovery que in the steam store (just listing trough 10games, you dont need to buy any, just click next next next...)

And yes, if you craft now a badge you will get a mystery card, and that card will be turned into winter sale card when the sale starts

The "mysterious" version of sales event cards are never craftable. You have to wait until the sale starts and the cards are revealed before you can make a badge with them. So you need to wait until after 10AM PST next Thursday to make the badge.

Use steamdb google extension and it auto does your discovery so no need to sit there clicking through each page.
