What happens when Steam Summer Sale ends???

Hey so I'm wondering what happens when steam summer sale ends, do the Stean trading cards disapper until next year?

I'm wonderinf if the Summer Sale cards will disappear, though? The game specific cards will definitely stay, but normally Steam events/items only last as long as the event.

the summer sale cards will not dissapear, and they will still be good for crafting badges after the sale- confirmed by valve today

logically they will remain in you inventory and youll have to buy or trade in order to get the full set, could be worth holding on to a few as they will be a lot harder to get hold of when the summer sale stops. all the other cards will carry on as normal.

Will I be able to craft the Summer Getaway badge after the sale?
Yes, you’ll be able to collect the cards and craft the badge after the sale, but only with cards that have already dropped. When the sale ends, there will be no new Summer Getaway card drops.

Keep 5 full sets to craft a level 5 badge! :)

The card seems it hasn't increased in price, is it still worth getting them? And even so, are you still able to craft, despite valves announcement?

I'm to lazy to double check the prices, but if they're not increasing than they remain a fairly cheap set to grab 100Exp as well as background and emote that you can turn into Gems. There's probably cheaper full sets, but if you're only missing one it's not a bad investment.

And even so, are you still able to craft, despite valves announcement?

Last I knew you can still craft Summer 2013 badges. From reading the thread, and from my memory of the event, Valve never said you would lose the ability to craft the 2013 badge so I'm not sure what you mean by "despite valves announcement".

You cant trade cards or craft badges from steam sales after the event ended. Try and buy a card on the steammarket and you will see the message: "This trading card has expired, and can no longer be used."
