[edit] in another thread it was claimed that if you didn't have the 5 card drops from buying tf2, buying ingame items to the point you got 1 card drop, then earning that card, opened up your eligibility for booster packs. If you bought a bunch of items and earned a bunch more card drops then your eligability was blocked until you unlocked all those drops as well.
So in order to be booster eligible you must have unlocked at least 1 card drop, and you must have unlocked every card drop you are eligible for.
Yeah, of course. If that was the case though, what he needed would simply come over time. Seeking out the information makes me think otherwise. "I need to know so I can get it done." Is what it sounded like to me. And again, considering how unlikely it is that he will specifically get a DOTA booster makes it not worth thinking about too much, much less spending money specifically to hit a mark so that one might, maybe, one day, get a 3 card booster thay could buy right now for a fraction fo the cost.
This is my whole point. You say that as though he will get a number of booster packs any time soon that would add up to or more than the 9.00 in his steam wallet he spent to become eligible in the first place!
[edit] I'm planning on getting a dota booster if it costs around $9, where as if I were to expect to pay $36 I'd probably skip it.
