How Many Cards can you get in Portal 2?

Just got my 3 for Borderlands 2, cant get any for CS GO. So now I am downloading P2 to get cards.

be aware though, that 4/8 includes duplicates. For instance, I received all 4 drops from playing Portal 2 already, but I have one duplicate. So I actually only have 3 card variations.

You have to trade the cards with other people, or buy them from the steam market. They are pretty cheap though (75 cents each).

Have to buy or trade cards from another game you have, and just focus on on the set you want.

@uaBArt: Not really different compared to other games:

a) Buy the rest from the market (may sell duplicates or unwanted cards there to earn wallet money)
b) Trade cards from unwanted badges for the ones you want (There is a trade section in this forum)
c) Trade other things for the cards (TF2-items and such)
d) convince friends who don't care about the cards to give theirs to you (possibly spreading the beta)

if i get the 4 drop cards from portal 2 and trade them how do i get the other 4 cards without buying them?
once you trade the 4 drop cards can you get more drops or do you have to complete the badge before you can get them again?

For the time being aside from buying you have to trade cards from another game you have to complete Portal 2. Completing the badge doesn't give more drops either. In a future update though there will be a booster back drop chance after you use your drops.
