I have lost some of my steam level

Just a while ago I was level 100+ on steam and now I'm only level 99, so I have lost some of my level. What do I need to do to get my levels back? I have already sent a ticket to steam support, but they aren't answering.

Also idk how to get the proof that I was over level 100 before this happened. I have a picture of my profile when it was over 100lvl, but that can be easily faked, so idk is that a valid proof. here is the picture of me hitting lvl 100. [media.discordapp.net]

Well, i had 101 games before just some days ago, now it says 99, so i lost my badget for the 100 games badget, dunno if it is a bug or something but steam support haven't answered me

Some games were pulled from the Steam Store because of a publisher / dev account being removed.

It is not a bug, and those games will not count in your badge, and therefore you may have lost a fair amount of XP.

Essentially, when a game gets removed from the Steam Store, it no longer counts in your badge.

You lost 850 XP or so if that was the case.

Did you have a greater game badge before?

It's possible that your issue is the same thing for the other users that i replied to above.

With the loss of 431 games, that did indeed negate 117 XP for you, but that is simply not enough XP loss for you to be demoted to 116.

The gap between level 116 and 117 is 1, 200 XP, and therefore you need to have a larger amount of games removed for the collector badge to be reduced by 1,200 XP.

Level 117 (74,400) - Level 116 (73, 200) = Gap (1,200 XP).

You only lost -287 XP.

Normaly im need 1200 xp to level up.
But now, because of the ban wave, i need around 1500 xp, because im have -287 xp.
Even if 2.000 games or more get banned and i lets say im have them all.
I will not lose any levels, is just gonna rise what im need of xp to get my next level, nothing else.

Again, you're at a higher level, which means there's a larger gap of XP between levels.

Therefore you will not LOSE ANY LEVEL, but you did lose XP.

The orginal poster is / was at level 100, and they need EXACTLY 850 XP to advance.

That can only be gained if they had between 1000 and 1999 games, and i know that absurd of me to assume, but that amount of games and even more were removed.

You never suddenly lose XP on Steam, and they did not magically lose their XP.

Either a) the game count was reduced significantly so much so that the level was lost because the XP amount accumulated enough to reach that level or b) they lost some other badges somehow.

I'm assuming a) since i have not seen any other games removed on Steam, and i have NOT lost any XP at all, since i don't have shovelware games which were removed from Steam.

I haven't lost any games. The exact xp amount I have lost is probably 1k. So I have lost 2 badges for some unknown reason.

I went with the assumption that it was the game count due to seeing MULTIPLE other users that lost at least 1 level due the XP being negated.

They had all of those showelware junk shown in the Madjoki link just to farm XP for the badge.

And that you say is still wrong, since im still not even lose level on my alt.
My alt was start of level 19 before of the ban wave and had lost around 70 games.
And none ppls of i know, has never lose levels because of banned games, even not in this huge ban wave that was happen for 5 day ago.

And, you expect me to take that as a valid argument to support what you're saying after you completely disregarded the XP gap?

There again, it was stated that if the XP is lost (required to gain the level), you will lose the level.

Nothing is "refunded".

You can simply play those same games if that is your wish; via your library.

Can you possibly review your badge list and see if anything is missing?

I know that may be a tedious thing to do but, it's worthwhile whenst waiting on support to reply to you.

I did not say there was 100% error in the badge system, however, that there was a possibility that there was, more or less and yes steam has tons of issues with difference things.

Steam apparently did "something" that changed the XP awarded on that badge last week. There's been a bunch of people complaining about it. Your Grand Prix badge shows an unlock date of November 26, which would otherwise be impossible unless it was one of the badges affected.

The unlock date is still shown as Jul 7.

Some users lost a fair amount of XP, and that can result in their Steam level reduced.

Others had the badge going completely missing.

I've no idea. Normally Steam would only remove XP from the Grand Prix badge if someone had refunded an item they had gotten tokens for, but it's way past the two week return deadline.
