As previously announced, Touhou Giveaways system is now deactivated. All past members are now eligible for re-invite, which is also something we've done as part of ArchiBot for people on their friendlist. Goodbye 2hus!

Dear 2hus!

Everything good eventually comes to an end. Due to a lot of internal and external factors, but mainly decreasing popularity and core staff members changing priorities, we've decided to set 2024-02-15 as the closing date of the group.

What it means

• Effective immediately, AFK rule no longer applies and you're no longer expected to create/win giveaways each 2 months.
  
• No new members are accepted starting today, till 2024-02-15.
  
• The points system still applies and will be running till 2024-02-15, which will be the last day of Touhou Giveaways system as a whole. Until then you still can (and will) be kicked if you join giveaways you're not eligible for, points-wise.
  
• After that date, the gifting system that we've established until now will be shut down, which means the website, userscript, ArchiBot tracking giveaways, statistics, achievements and everything connected with previously mentioned, will be no longer operative.
  
• The group will stay available on Steam and SteamGifts for those people that would like to participate, whether in chat or doing giveaways like they used to, just without points calculation or other rules anymore, also after the end date.
  
• Every past member that earned 20P or more in total (passed initial requirements), will be eligible to rejoin the group starting from 2024-02-15, with no additional conditions or requirements.

I'd like to say big thanks to all existing and past members thanks to whom the group could shine in glory and improve across all those years. The end date isn't a coincidence, it's exactly ⑨ years since its foundation in 2015-02-15. We've managed to build great things, but like with everything great, it has to phase out eventually

Dear 2hus!

I've created the group back in February of 2015, it was a glorious ride, from disorganized pure chaos state, slowly attracting more and more people, creating the system that without bigger changes operates till this day, designing a website with Mole that is still useful, and making dreams and memories come true for all people involved.

It was glorious 8 years of my life, I feel like we've managed to build something bigger than just ourselves, and made an example of how successful and interesting giveaway group can operate, with unique system that ensures fairness and encourages positive interactions between group members, on top of really cool games that we've all won across all those years.

As the life goes on, my priorities have changed, and unfortunately due to a lot of internal and external factors, I don't feel like I'm contributing enough to the group at this day to call myself a head admin anymore. It was like that for a moment now, but I want to make it official and let you all know that jbond will be taking over head admin position, making calls from now on.

Do not worry though! I'll keep my technical admin role and try my best to ensure that ArchiBot and everything else operates without issues like it used to for all those years, that is, as long as jbond decides that it still should . Since my SG activity got limited to bare minimum, I'll mostly enter lurking mode now and still contribute from time to time to meet the AFK rule like everybody else that is, but in regards to the group, jbondo will now guide touhous to bright future, or highway to hell, whatever comes!

Give warm welcome to our new head admin and remember that dear leader Kim Il Sung Archi will always remain in our hearts!

Due to one of our recent cases that we had to solve internally with our staff, I'd like to remind everyone about our rules[touhou.justarchi.net] that state the following thing:

In order to ensure fairness, games that you’ve obtained for free, e.g. directly from the developers, as a community reward or massive giveaway, should be priced at a maximum of ¼ of the base value. If we suspect that you got a key for free, we might ask for a receipt that was given to you as proof of purchase - trading is not a valid excuse. It's not our intention to make those games disallowed, but we do not want to see them making a majority of touhou points that you’ve ever obtained.

With increased amount of games given away as part of curators, free giveaways (e.g. gleam.io, humble bundle) and alike, we see ongoing problem with some of you neglecting the rule and not pricing those giveaways accordingly and/or running into situation where they make majority of the giveaways you've ever created for the group. Free giveaways remain allowed in the group, as long as both points are met, that is, they're priced accordingly, and they make no more than 50% of awarded points that you've ever obtained.

Remember that Touhou Staff with our Ministry of Regulations is always on watch
