Changing chat box position
Hi, thank you for developing a convenient and creative tool.

Does ToonHUD have any options to change the location of the chat box? I'd like to move it from left to right for reasons. If it's not supported currently, are there any suggestions or cautions modifying TF2 files manually with the method explained here: https://teamfortress.tv/thread/4387/changing-chat-position Well I actually couldn't find the 'BaseChat.res' file so I'd appreciate if someone could explain how to do it for me.

And I'm afraid this is a totally off-topic question, but is it possible to make 'net_graph' display all its contents except the topmost large annoying graph? (which is numbered as 1 and 2 here: https://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/TF2_Network_Graph) The only option at the moment is to set so large a value to the 'net_graphheight' that the top graph goes out of the screen. Then the text data hid the kill feed, so I set 'net_graphpos' to 4 to move it to the left. Then the second graph overrode the chat box, so now I want to move the chat box to the right. I could move the kill feed to the left in the first place as well, but I think a chat box sitting in the right side makes more sense, because the Steam messages pop up in that direction. I'd appreciate a lot if someone could think about this with me in depth.

Thanks again! :)

There is BaseChat file in toonhud/resouce/ui folder. In that file, edit xpos and ypos of "HudChat" (xpos_minmode and ypos_minmode if you are using the centered mode)

If you want to move it to the right side, xpos should be "r300" (r means that it starts from the right side of the screen. 300 is the width of the chat window. Higher value moves the chat to left)

I dunno about the net_graph thing. "net_graph 1" is not enough?

Hi Griever, thank you for your reply :)

I restarted TF2 with 'r300' to 'xpos' in 'toonhud/resource/ui/BaseChat.res', but the position didn't change. Am I supposed to apply the change somehow from the GUI program?

Also, about the graph, '1' disables the second graph which I want to observe. I'd like to hide the first graph.

Thank you again :)

The updater deletes toonhud folder from custom folder everytime you save overrides. If you want to use the updater after you have edited files yourself, you have to make the changes in ToonHUD Updater/data/toonhud folder. After you have edited files, open the updater and save overrides. Notice that your changes will be deleted next time you download a new version of the hud.

You could move the BaseChat file outside of the toonhud folder. For example to "custom/xchat/resource/ui/BaseChat.res".

It didn't work for some reason. Could you test xpos r300 in your environment by chance?

It should work. And remember that if you are using the centered mode, you have to edit "xpos_minmode" to "r300".

Hi Griever, xpos_minimode worked. Thank you so much :)
