Funnily enough, that didn't bother me, what bothered me was the way he tried to do it before that. At that point, when he did that, i was already so annoyed at the scene that i was like "alright, at least this is somehow related to electricity and not water".
Nah, to me its still Rey. She was already a Mary Sue in the first movie, and keep in mind, this whole movie is contextualized by the fact that we see Fin coming out of the bakta tank, he was put into at the end of the last movie, and the movie pretty much picking up where the last one left off. That means Rey goes from nobody junk yard girl to Master Jedi, lightsaber Badass, by a factor of 10 in the span of what.. a month?
Luke, in the first Triology, at least had months and months of off screen training time between first and 2nd movie. Rey had days.
And no, i don't think that is a Spoiler, because its already in the first movie. They just pile onto it in this one.
I know, right! Who'd have thought it?
Well Kylo was turning his own saber and turning it on, so doing the same thing to 2 at once supposedly masked it... It was a somewhat weak explanation though
Do you KNOW how far away that was! It's really hard! Really REALLY hard! :)
Well, but think of the merchandising possibilities. Look at Minions. Roughly pillshaped critters with big eyes are cute.
(And the audience seemed to lap it up in the cinema i was in, so i assume its gonna work)
Edit:
Funny, i had not seen it, but he pretty much agrees with every bit i felt.... which is odd.
Blu-Rey, er, umm, I mean Blu-Ray?
Thanks.
Did Mark Hamill not know about Luke's death?
