FIRE PRO WRESTLING: 6 MEN SCRAMBLE (Saturn)
Japan-only wrestling game; with their more liberal copyright laws, they were able to feature grapplers less-than-loosely based on stars from every US/Japanese federation, so you could come up with pretty much any dream match up from wrestling history; comprehensive create-a-wrestler mode

HONORABLE MENTIONS!
Heroes and Generals: Would be higher if my PC had enough RAM to run it well
Persona 4: Was fun but found it rather easy as all I did was gring my guys to max level by the time the little summer break hapened
Mass Effect, the first one was great, the second one had some problems, and I ignore the third one. New universe, fantastic characters, and decent if simple plotline.
Fallout, any of these, just enjoyed the setting and the 50's style
Dark Crusade, best 40k game to date, especially with some mods.
Borderlands, fun game with a huge loot system that didnt take itself too seriously, until its sequel
Bioshock and Bioshock Infinite, interesting plotlines, mixed with a fun art style plus fantastic settings
Portal series, new way to puzzle game have to respect that, throw in some hurmor and you have a classic
Counting the series as two games each so theres ten
Always adding to and changing this list.
In no particular order:
Warhammer 40k Space Marine, words cannot express the fun i've had on this game
TESV: Skyrim, beautiful game, lots of options (Wish they'd gotten the dragons right)
Dynasty Warriors, not gonna bother specifying which one as they're basically the same other than the orginal
Shogun II: Total War, This game...
The ever abusive Dark Souls, such a challenge but so rewarding
Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, the best game in my opinion (4 and 5 shouldn't exist)
Fallout 3, the gatling laser is to this day my favourite energy weapon
Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back, Ahh memories
Supreme Commander 2, it's the only version in the series I've played but I loved it
Command & Conquer: Red Alert, Got me into RTS and made me never want to leave (Hard for a 7 year old though)
Will probably be changing the list sometime in the future.
The Legend of Zelda Ocarina Of TIme
Castlevania Symphony of The Night
Chrono Trigger
Final Fantasy 7
Heroes of Might and Magic 3
Dark Souls
Resident Evil 2
Double Dragon 2
Dynasty Warriors ( all of them, always gratifying to open up a can as Lubu)
Diablo 2 LOD
BERZERK

DRAGON'S LAIR
Yes it was just a series of quick-time events, but still mind blowing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jxhnffshVM
GALAGA
Space Invaders on crack, probably the best classic coin-op game.

In No particular order My top 10 games are as follows:
The Command & Conquer series as a whole( Minus C&C4, and RA3) Command and conquer is where my love Strategy games started, First with Tiberian Dawn, then Red Alert 1, and onwards, Even including Renegade, because it was actually really fun.
The Battlefield series Up to and including 2142(Although 1942 was my favorite) Not my first FPS game series ever played, by my most fondly remembered, with likely over 5000 hours on battlefield 1942 alone(god i loved the mods for BF1942) it was a great series, however i lost interest once they started going in directions i didn't like, via BF3 and beyond(i did like bad company 1 and 2 though).
Mercenaries 1 for the original Xbox. I spent a lot of time playing this, i love the destruction you can do to the environment and buildings, i just wish they didn't drop the ball so badly with Mercs 2.
SimCity 4. I played the hell out of this. super great community supplying people with addons and maps and etc(SC5 was a kick in the face to me, ended up going on to Cities Skylines).
Star Wars empire at War + Forces of Corruption. The best Star Wars strategy game in my opinion, and it desperately needs a worthy sequel, but i'm not holding my breath.
Supreme Command 1 & Forged Alliance. Awesome strategy game, SupCom2 wasnt as good as the original.
Project Zomboid. There's something about this indie isometric zombie game that i really like, and i cant really narrow it down.
Factorio. This game definitely brings out my love of automation and logistics, very fun, but especially with friends.
Civilization 4. The best Civ in my opinion, i just wish it had better 64 bit support, because the modding community really pushes this game to the limit, and the mods really increase replayability( Here's looking at you, Cavemen To Cosmos)
This last one is hard to choose, so i'll do a cop out and just say the entirety of the SNES, because that was my childhood.
** NOW WITH STEEL-BELTED RADIAL RIBBING FOR HER ULTIMATE PLEASURE!! **
1. Mechwarrior 4 Mercs (MekTek version) - Because it's Mechwarrior done right! (Or as close to right as possible, since FASA Studios DID work on the MW4 games) And because my computer can barely run MW5 without just packing it in. They really need to do more to tweak the textures and resolutions, and maybe add more mechs to the already HUGE stockpile in the MekTek mod.
2. MW4 Vengeance + Black Knight - Every Saga needs a beginning. Such as it is... You play some poor Davion schmuck in Vengeance, and then play as the Merc who's trying to kill said Davion peasant in Black Knight, so it balances things well. (Seriously, I never really figured out what the deal was with "Little Lord Fauntleroy" in the first game. He comes from a family of nobles, yes - but what are they known for? Weapons? Old Money? SideCorn? Yeah. That's gotta be it. Young Ian Dresari was the heir to the Dresari SideCorn empire...)
3. Star Wars Galaxies - This MMO showed SO much promise, until SOE fucked it all up with the "Combat Upgrade" and "New Game Experience" patches that totally borked the skills list, introduced 9 archetypes instead of allowing more choice in multiclassing, and removed all barriers to learning how to use the force over time, causing Jedi to magically spring up EVERYWHERE in the middle of the Galactic Civil War, ruining the game for everyone. I loved playing this back in the day. It was a chaotic mess more often than not, but dodging 'gank squads' on PvE servers was still fun. Ah, how I long for the days when Star Wars WASN'T the non-canonical Disney-owned dumpster fire it currently stands as....
4. Final Fantasy VII - Playing the "One-Winged Angel" theme on a constant loop in my brain...
5. Final Fantasy XIII - The first one was actually good, the two sequels TRIED SO HARD...
6. Tron 2.0 - At one time, it actually was considered to be canonical, believe it or not.
7. Wolfenstein - The 2011 one, not the newer series.
8. Doom 3 - Deeeeeeeeeep Hurrrrrtinnnng...
9. CoD Black Ops - Fuckin' Zombie Mode! In das Deutsche Kino!
10. CoD 4 - The part where the nuke goes off.... Duck and Cover, fuckos! DUCK. AND. COVER. For tonight, we dine in hell.
11. Resident Evil 4 - If you can play this on a PC - WITH MOUSE AND KEYBOARD instead of a light gun - you're totally L337 status, and Leon Kennedy is jealous of your zombie-killing prowess.
HONORABLE MENTION:
>Mechwarrior 3 - Great story, great graphics for its time, poor control scheme and VERY glitchy. Activision tried. Have to give them credit for that.
>Loom - One of Lucasarts' best NON-Star Wars games from the early 90s.
>Tron: Evolution - Backstory to what happened to Kevin Flynn before the events in Tron Legacy.
DISHONORABLE MENTION:
Mechwarrior 5 - Sadly, this game gets the hall of shame award, and not for its content. Epic basically told PGI that they HAD to use the buggy Unreal Engine (From the new Unreal Tournament) with MW5, rather than the more stable and playtested CryEngine from MWO, which has better optimization, if they wanted any money or availability of the game on Epic's service. PGI got fucked over in the deal. Epic needs to go fuck themselves.
Seriously.
Fuck Epic, Fuck Fortnite, Fuck the Unreal Engine. I SO wanted to like this game, but apparently, my computer isn't good enough to play EPIC games, so they basically said "Fuck you, pal".
My computer was CHUGGING. On the loading screen.
I mean, it was as if I suddenly had a hamster wheel in there instead of a processor. And the on-board cyberhamster was in the middle of having a massive stroke! To make things worse, THIS WAS ON THE LOWEST GRAPHICS SETTINGS!!
I'm still a bit salty over that one...
and short comings, but compared to Fallout 3, and the hot garbage that was Fallout 4 it was significantly better.
Final Fantasy VI - This is my choice for best Final Fantasy entry, The variety of characters, motivations, and Kefka make this game a top choice. I find the story engaging which is one of my biggest takes from it.
Battleblock Theater - The game play for this isnt always the greatest but the humor is on point. The people over at Behemoth know how to make an entertaining game, I spent a lot of time playing this game with my wife.
Neverwinter Nights - Not the MMO. This game got me though my long dry spell of not having a group to play D&D with.
Star Wars: Knight of the Old Republic: Do I really need to say anymore about this entry? While I will admit, some of the systems in 2 were superior that surprise twist was well worth the run though.
Fallout 1 - This is the game that got me into PC RPG's It has a special place in my heart.
Witcher 3 WIld Hunt - CDPR has made a fantastic game here. Not only did it continually improve upon the previous entries in the franchise. CRPR did well to try and fill the world with interesting things to explore and or kill, to fill in the voids that plague most open world adventures.
Mechwarrior 3050 (SNES) - While I know this is a very poor excuse of a game this is the lynch pin that brought me into the mechwarrior games and has led me into the arms of Battletech Table Top as a whole. It was the game that led me down the path for my love of all things that are big, stompy, shooty, mechs. So while it is kind of a garbage game it deserves a spot on my list for influencing me as a child.
Mass Effect - I have spent hours upon hours playing this game, playing it though as each class, going back and playing through the game again and again and again until my story was the exact way I wanted it. The elements of Sci-Fantasy were well fleshed out, characters were compelling, and the stakes of the galaxy felt as high as they were.
Earth Defense Force (Franchise) - Because who doesn't love playing a video game who story is a 1950's B rated Godzilla film? The game play is a bit rinse and repeat, but the rediculousness that is the dialog of that game and the ability to shoot giant space bugs, robots, and aliens with 4 friends makes it an experience worth having.
Honorable mention to Battlefield 1942, Command & Conquer Series (Except 4), Star Craft, and Civilization Series
Street Fighter II and Alpha series
Homeworld series
Mechwarrior III and IV
Star Craft and Brood war
Diablo (original)
Star Wars Dark Forces II
Arkanoid
HBS Battletech
Minecraft
Total Annihilation
Neverwinter Nights (original)
Warcraft 2 and 3
(sips home made Kombucha, because the whiskey's all gone)
Right, in no particular order I present to you my top 10 games of all time.
I will preface this with a warning: Like many of you, I am old. I am also an immigrant, so with that qualifying statement out of the way, you can gather, at least contextually, that we couldn't buy the latest and greatest in game consoles. While many around the world were enjoying the benefits of the original Nintendo, or the SEGA, or even the N64, we had to make do with a Japanese Nintendo knock off. Eventually, after much saving, we able to buy games that operated, somewhat successfully, on a Pentium Desktop with an Intel Celeron processor. Being poor is cool though, because that ol' thing lasted a near eternity before being out dated by the rapid pace of technology. Eventually, we had to give up the dream of playing PC games as computers became actually expensive and games required more and more processing power to run smoothly.
Fast forward a few years, and with monies earned, I was able to enter back into the world of gaming via the console. Sadly, my first love of PC gaming fell to the wayside...financially just always out of reach to have a decent machine...So that brings us to today, and this list. Many of my top 10 games are old and may be somewhat obscure. One or two may be cult classics, and some are just popular. However, I shall endeavor to be honest and critical.
Contra (1987)
Mario Bros. (1985)
Age of Empires I & II
MechWarrior 2 (Clan Wolf. The green parrots can sit on it and spin)
MechWarrior 3 (Didnt like being an Eridani Light Horse, but the game was good)
Half-Life, Half-Life 2, Episode 1, and Episode 2
The Elder Scrolls, Oblivion, Skyrim (They all have their issues, I love the stories)
Fall Out 3 (I liked it. Mostly because I didnt have internet and I played it for almost an entire year)
Medal of Honor (2010), Medal of Honor: Warfighter (2012) They pull on the heart strings. Rabbit dies. Mother Dies.
Elite Dangerous. (its space. and more space. and accurate math. and space)
No honorable mentions. You asked for my top 10. I delivered my top 10+.
Be well.
So here goes. (ALSO no particular order)
-Fallout 3
-Starcraft (mostly 1, but 2's cool too)
-Diablo (mostly 2, but 3's... well... OK in small bites, I guess, hahah)
-Mechwarrior 4 (all of 'em, but mostly Mercs)
-Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (haven't played in AGES, but I sunk a royal LIFETIME into that game in
the way back)
-DOOM (except 3)
-Crysis (mostly first one, and then lessening degrees of joy from there forward)
-Warcraft 3
-Quake (ALL of 'em!!! Probably biggest fan of 2 though, followed by 1)
-Half Life (all of it)
It's actually A LOT harder than I thought it would be to narrow down top 10! Even now I'm sitting here waffling. But... Indecision may or may not be my problem, sooooooo, there it is!
