So Duh random crits are a no no
No im explaining that it would be unbalanced to include in the competitive scene valve is trying to create inside tf2
Yes, getting a kill with random crits is satisfying, but getting killed by one feels unjustified. I want to die in TF2 and think about what I can do to counter who killed me, as opposed to despising that person for being lucky.
Disabling random crits would make getting kills more satisfying, and being killed more reasonable. Overall it would boost morale and keep people playing.
Random events (similar to the old train on de_overpass) should be kept to a minimum for competetive play.
Hasn't been a problem for the competitive community (6s, hl) for the last 8 years.
It does make some weapons straight upgrades from stock, but both teams can use them so it's fine. Valve could make a blanket modification though, maybe any weapon that has a downside of 'no random crits' could do 10% less damage, or fire a little slower, etc etc.
I don't think there's a single weapon that's a straight upgrade from stock that's OP. It's because of how bad stock is.
Melee for every class should be like it is for the Spy and Engineer. It should serve some purpose for the class, rather than just being something you use to hit people in the face whilst praying for a random crit.
Lets just say as a start they have some sort of brain damage.
