Technic Platform on Steam?
Is it possible right now? I can get vanilla minecraft to work, having the overlay and everything, but I wonder if it's a possibility with the platform.

EDIT: Got it working, here's a tutorial~!

Start by clicking "Add a non-steam game" in Steam, then add the platform. Next, find the path to your javaw.exe file and shift+rightclick it and hit copy as path. Rightclick the platform in steam and click properties. paste the path in the target box and type after it "_-jar_" (_ = spaces). After, shift+rightclick the platform and click copy as path and paste after the "_-jar_", then run it. It actually works ^.^

I tried following your instructions and it doesnt load.

This is what is in my target box for technic launcher "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" " -jar " "C:\Users\Username\Desktop\TechnicLauncher.exe"

The quotation marks around the -jar are your problem, remove them and you'll be fine.

I'm not sure, I don't use Mac. I'd guess it'd work siomilarly if you copy the paths to both your technic platform and Java and put the Java path, -jar , Technic launcher in that order

This is pretty rad, thanks.

I have a mac if you have not worked it out I could take a look and see what I come up with.

also would it be worth me doing a video of how to do this on windows but add commentary over it to try and explain the process a bit better?

I could also find a screen recorder for mac and if I figure it out I do not use mac much although I probably could figure it out and do a second video for mac users?

You don't have to do all of this. Just add the platform and play. That's what actually works for me. :P

Something to note if you're running a 64-bit version of Windows: be sure to copy the path of javaw.exe in [Program Files], NOT [Program Files (x86)]. From there, just follow the instructions as normal.
