ummm.. i dont think it does full stop. I belivev it has been disabled. I have managed to go through the net and log on via the STEAM website, but I don't know if that is the same due to the fact that i was using a Swinburne laptop so it didnt actually have STEAM installed. You could try it from your laptop if it is installed and log on via the net. It might work...

I just got COD 6 multiplayer up and functional again (damn hacked servers screwed me over) so if anyone plays that, i'm happy to invite to a game at some point.

Really? What is the other club like this? I would have thought that due to it being a STEAM group, it would have been different. Is that the final verdict on getting funding?

Custom perks involves the perks being scaled/modified to match the number of players and enemies. EG: in the big games with alot of players + zombies ammo cap is usually increased a fair amount. It's not looking too promising for this though unless somebody wants to pay for it out of pocket or host it themselves as somebody else has already made a similar club, and swinburne only allows clubs that don't have any other similar ones to be formed.

Yeah, Actually a custom server of our own would be sweet. Nevr thought of that. I wouldn't know how to go about that though (first year :P) so maybe if Anteh did that. As the founder and all :P
What would the custom perks allow for?

What i'd like to see if we get enough people for it is a custom perk server that allows up to 15ish people, along with custom infected/etc. Somebody should look into what we can actually spend the money from the club on since game servers/similar would make everything alot more enjoyable.

I'd like to do a Killing Floor session at some point with anyone who is interested so we can get to know how each other works as a team and all that. So anyone interested please post when you are free and we will try to get a time when we can at least get a team of 6.

At this stage I'm still waiting for a response from the SSAA, though it has now been more than a week and I still haven't heard anything back from them.

I'll look into talking with staff in person on Tuesday while I'm on campus in order to gain a better understanding of the process involved in applying for a club.

So what actually happened with the club application?

I'm surprised that none of us actually noticed that the old group name had been "Swinburne Univerisity Gamers". Notice the extra 'i' in University? I certainly didn't until Kovi pointed it out.

The rest of my excuse for dragging you all to a new group can be found in the announcement on the old group profile if anyone else needed clarification on that. :)

We'll get some Killing Floor, TF2 and Minecraft sessions going soon. As some may have noticed, Acren has allowed us access to his Minecraft server at any time and the IP address is contained within the group description near the top of this page.

Oh? What was the need for changing the group? Was the old one outdated in some way?
